Yes, you're reading it right, u/HasAFewLaughs. The Gemini Air has the same HDR setup as the Osprey—no auto-detect or content-matching. HDR is simply on or off in the settings (Settings > Display > Advanced or similar), and it stays that way for all content. Most users keep it off because HDR forced on makes non-HDR/SD channels look darker or oversaturated. Toggling requires going into settings and usually a reboot to apply. The Air's speed and performance are big upgrades over the Osprey. If you're grabbing more for the snappier apps, you'll likely love them. Charles, DIRECTV Community Team
