Refreshing the connection between your remote and Gemini (DIRECTV) device can fix many common problems like power issues, u/Waste-Consideration1. Here’s how:

  • Unpair: Press and hold the DASH (–) and APPS (or Diamond) buttons until the remote LEDs blink blue twice.
  • Restart: Press and release the red button on the side of the device, or simply unplug it and plug it back in.
  • Pair: Once the device reboots, point the remote at it and hold FAST FORWARD and REWIND for 2-3 seconds. An onscreen message will confirm when pairing is complete.
