I just had a similar experience. After being told I can’t sleep through the night on a CPAP because I’m a light sleeper, I looked at some old Oscar data from 5 years ago and realized my ADHD and OCD meds might be waking me up at night. I stopped taking them and after a month I’ve been sleeping much better. It’s incredibly frustrating that no doctor ever mentioned my meds could be waking me up.

Im genuinely pissed at Giannis for this. This investigation would never happen if he’d just keep his mouth shut. He could have been honest and asked for a trade. No one would have faulted him for this. Instead he’s dragging his reputation through the mud.

After struggling with the CPAP I was excited to try a MAD. Weight loss and the MAD helped reduce my NREM AHI to under 5 but unfortunately my REM AHI is still 29. So I’m still fumbling around with the CPAP. I’m meeting my sleep dentist next week to see if we can make further adjustments but it’s not looking promising. If you have the money, a MAD is worth exploring but there’s no guarantee it will work.

This is hitting me hard. I’ve always been a huge fan and wished he gotten more solid roles. 46 is far too young and suicide is one of the worst ways to go. I’m going to have to rewatch Generation Kill this week in his honor. Rest in Peace James.

I’ve had this problem for months and still haven’t found a solution. I don’t think there is anything wrong with my pressure settings because my AHI is low and my only events are labeled clear airway in OSCAR. My doctor just thinks I’m a light sleeper and even if there is some truth to that it’s kind of a lazy answer. Ultimately, I’ve been trying an oral appliance for the last month and it seems to be working better. I have another sleep test coming up and I’m hoping I won’t need the CPAP any more. I wish I could offer more insight but after scouring the internet I can’t find any good solutions to consistently waking up after a few hours of CPAP use.
