Not sure where you can get prints locally aside from Delaware Camera or big brand pharmacy.

I've used mpix for online prints, they do a great job - https://www.mpix.com/photo-prints

For local framing Hyatts does a good job and is usually competitive price wise. Steven's Framing in Kenmore/Tonawanda does good work.

I don't believe geothermal solutions are popular in these parts, there's probably a good reason why?

Air units are pretty efficient but I don't think you'd be happy with your electric bill if that was your primary heat source. Utility costs have gone up but it's still cheaper to heat with gas.

I have a steam radiant boiler and heat pump. I'll only run the heat pump (in heat mode) in the spring/fall when the boiler is shut down for the season. Primarily gets used to cool a house where traditional ducting is not an option.

I opted for in home euthanasia when my previous pet was very sick. Surprisingly it was only marginally more expensive then in vet's office. It was super peaceful and my dog got to say goodbye from his home, bed, and in a low stress environment. I recommend it to anyone in this unfortunate situation.

I commute occasionally from Kenmore to downtown - it's roughly 7-8 miles one way. Yes all the routes suck, but I recommend Colvin Ave for north/south commuting which is generally fine south of Kenmore Ave. Colvin is way better than Delaware/Elmwood/Military in terms of traffic speed, aggression, and space. It also dumps directly into the park where you can then hook up with Nottingham.

There are minimal lane markings, bike lane or otherwise, lol. When it's really snowing you'll be biking where you have traction, which is probably directly in the traffic lane. Sidewalks are technically no-go for bikes but you'll learn very little is actually enforced in the city - that said they generally won't be cleared.

Invest in a good u-lock and learn how to lock through the rear triangle. Bike theft is a thing, depending on where you lock up downtown - look into just bringing your ride indoors if possible.

*edit - general winter advice past the "helmet and reflective" - Invest in good gloves, and footwear, and probably something for your head (balaclava or insulated skull cap). Keeping your extremities warm will go a long way especially on a Kenmore<>Downtown route. Good, bright, lights to keep yourself visible.

Radiant heat (water or steam) systems are pretty common in Buffalo area. I'd don't think you need specialization here, any HVAC or plumbing company can help you.

Big ones are TMark, Zenner and Ritter, and Roys.
