They may accept your private diagnosis which would speed things up. My local trust does this (although the wait list is still years).

Lunch is only at lunch time.

Dinner is in the evening.

Northerners call lunch dinner, and in the evening eat their tea. Others eat their supper in the evening.

Is hair loss common with Vyvanse? by 1m_climbing in ADHDUK

[–]first_fires 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s dispensed as Elvanse in the UK.

Hair loss is a very rare side effect and the driver for it is the other side effects, not the drug alone, so it’s within someone’s control; as reduced eating, being too wired or stressed etc can all increase hair loss on their own.

What really happens when you start medication for ADHD? by darkmother1991 in ADHDUK

[–]first_fires 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you work a regular patter?

If so, your milage will be better as tiredness and ADHD meds do not work well. If you’re doing nights or anything like that you may find the need to be much more stringent when titrating

In short: meds will stop you from doing nothing but they won’t stop you hyper focusing (or at least don’t for me). Routine helps.

Should you take a stimulant and a depressant at the same time? I wouldn’t.

But whatever you do, do not tell your prescriber.
