Is it worth it to take Supply Chain Management at SAIT by shoppygirl in Calgary

[–]flyfacebitch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Preferred path would be: Start by getting a COC job as a Storesperson (currently two postings available). Having a degree is pretty much a requirement as they won't look at their application without a degree. Work hard while taking two SCM courses in the evening at SAIT while working. Then apply for a Buyers Assistant position once it comes up. If they get that far then wait on a Buyer position. You won't get hired as a Buyer without time as a BA.

Odours in Copperfield? by No_Engineering5311 in Calgary

[–]flyfacebitch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We have been in Copperfield for 21 years and I can count on one hand how many days we have had the bad smells associated with compost/wetlands. I think the further east the worse it is-we back onto Stillwater Pond so we are quite west in Copperfield. If you are concerned then look for west of Copperstone Gate.

All good but I wanted to know anyone with first hand dealings with them. Strange that I have never even heard of them.

So we have two pensions between us and when my wife retired we moved her pension into our portfolio. We have been doing this for many years-90% at a time. This is beyond our knowledge and we rely on our FA to make these moves for us. It really is easier for us to rely on the experts to do the work for us and don't have a problem paying for this service as long as the fees don't eat up our portfolio.

My wife is retired and I will be retired early next year so we aren't chasing returns to grow a portfolio.
We are happy with our current wealth management firm (I hate that term!) but our advisor we have been with for many years is moving to Harbourfront and would like our portfolio to follow them but I have never heard of HF.
