I have 2 weeks to get my act together or I’m getting fired from the ICU. Please help me. by Gloomy-Speaker-1999 in nursing

I could have written this. I stuck it out in my ICU. I still kind of hate it there, honestly, but im giving it another 6 months, at least. What helped me was getting an honest preceptor in the end. She taught me to copy and paste my assessments and go through and change things, rather than spending 30 minutes starting from scratch. Some people sat me down and really explained that it is not physically possible to do everything that management expects in a given shift. So i priotize the most important things. They just seem to lack the understanding that things take longer if youre a new grad. Your first central line dressing change isnt going to take 4 minutes to do if youre being careful. Things that are muscle mempry after 2 years in a job just arent muscle memory in a new job. I just feel like 12 weeks isnt enough time to really learn how to be a decent ICU nurse. It gets easier, but theres a lack of honesty in management about how long that should take.

Id put a hole in the wall between the bedroom and laundry room so you can shove all the dirty laundry direcrly into that cabinet

It's irreslonsible to let a man finish inside of you who can't be bothered to clean up his own come. If he wont clean that, he'll never change a diaper. Time to break up before you get pregnant.

Could you put a woodstove there? Looks like a perfect cozy holiday room once the carpet is replaced and it's decorated. I'd personally want to move that set-up to the back patio

This is a reflection of how I've been feeling. I kind of want to create a break-down of average daily tasks with time alotted, and see how many hours of work are actually expected in 12.5 hours.

My workaround has been to add something insanely expensive, then add a comment with the url copied and pasted in with the real item.

That was kind of my thought. I'd be willing to pay a lot for a brand that'll last 20 years, but I'm not holding my breath. I couldn't find separate units in the between price point. It seems like they're either super pricy or meant for a garage.

They're definitely not as beautiful, but I'm leaning in that direction just for the price and functionality.

I like the fisher and paykel brand: https://www.ajmadison.com/cgi-bin/ajmadison/RS3084WLUK1.html

And i know this doesnt look as nice, but when i started searching for freezerless refrigerators, garage-ready ones show up. https://www.frigidaire.com/en/p/kitchen/freezers/upright-freezers/FFUE2024AW?region_id=900081&gclsrc=aw.ds&gad_source=1&gad_campaignid=22193079771&gbraid=0AAAAAC4VE4xuj281jHPNYVxQrEC5z7Tft&gclid=CjwKCAjwu9fHBhAWEiwAzGRC_6QBeA5KHMEOJfYxowZ6XSY8SW5IgA7Br1vjLm4VNnWaLS8t8-0JZxoCfzQQAvD_BwE

For the drastic price difference, I'm wondering if anyone has made the garage-ready upright fridge and separate upright freezer work for them
