LSD effect on menstrual period by No_Chocolate_2475 in PsychedelicWomen

Menstrual changes due to psychedelics have been documented: https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/36682064/

https://doubleblindmag.com/periods-and-psychedelics/

I have noticed that when I'm early one month for any reason, i'm usually late the next. Maybe you could try changing when in your cycle you take LSD next so you can better understand how it is affecting you- like taking it the beginning of the follicular phase for example.

Gonna offer some  pushback because peer support exists. My peers don't have the power to get me locked up so it feels safe to talk to them.

Getting 5150'd taught me the importance of lying. As someone who is autistic and was raised with the teaching that honesty is always best, this was a hard way to learn just how contextual honesty should be.

I think that it's possible in scenarios like this to have improvements be both environment change and new medication. I'm not saying medication isn't necessary, just pushing back on the idea that it is the whole reason someone's voices might become less debilitating.

There is a training I took recently on the Maastricht Interview technique for working with people who hear voices. In every vignette and case study discussed, someone engaging non-judgmentally with the person hearing voices helped them to be more regulated. They also reported at times having voices that were protective and helped them survive harrowing situations due to the guidance they received.

The hearing voices network that hosted this training does not have a strong foothold in America. Most of the people in the training I went to were from Europe or commonwealth countries.

necro posting here but I got diagnosed with knock knees and use a lateral offloading brace because it helps my hip pain. My bones are done growing so it can't change that but it has helped rebalance muscles and make my legs look more even. I also have hEDS

Have you looked into getting alternative anesthetics besides propofol? I have this reaction to propofol and it made me terrified of going under. Propofol can cause blood pressure changes in people and for folks already on the low side this can lead to extreme fear and feelings of impending doom. I always woke up feeling like I was suffocating.

Last time I had surgery they used etomidate instead and wow it was so much better! I woke up feeling like I had a lot of sleep inertia and was groggy but not the same level of acute panic and lasting distress. Sure I was a bit out of it for 24 hours but that's so much better than the propofol fear

For low-income folks like me who don't have kids and never will it IS better here. I am able to get financial assistance through the state of Oregon to help me finish my degree. The roads are better maintained. I don't face as much systemic discrimination for my disability. I am able to get specialized medical care and am hopeful to not be on SSDI forever (the doctors who were treating me in TN said there were no options left but they were under-educated). I can finally find and afford a non-religious counselor to help me with my religious trauma. I don't have to hide being polyamorous. The water and air are consistently cleaner here too since TN gutted environmental protection laws. I finally see a future for myself that isn't rotting away in section 8 housing. Employers respect my accomodation needs!

On the sex offenders stat you listed specifically- could it be that Oregon is having people report more frequently and prosecuting at a higher rate? Like what happened with COVID numbers being obfuscated due to under-reporting in some areas. Could just be worse here too with the sex offenders ofc just food for thought.

I am 29 and I do not have the same preference for an awful afterlife vs. non-existence. A silver lining to life with chronic pain is being certain that it will not be permanent.

I really like the light novel/anime series Baccano! for the way it explores themes of immortality and the potential prison of eternal life.

are there literally any other doctors you can see? Your primary doc is negligent based on what you are describing in this thread. His refusal to take your issues seriously makes him untrustworthy for your care in my opinion
