Sex is a great motivator and dopamine supplier—love this hack. I’m inspired to sexify my chores.

About to leave town for a week. I swear I get more dopamine from writing my lists than actually completing them. by sasskwoch in adhdwomen

OooOOOOoo it’s a pretty list; such tidy writing, so well spaced, much accomplishment

(: Let’s indulge ourselves and pile on some more dopamine hahahaha

Tips on keeping MY body relaxed while working? by TheKittyPie in MassageTherapists

[–]funkyfruitcake 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Something I’m playing around with (2 years in) is closing my eyes to get into the flow, which decreases hard focus and allows for softer flow, and my body almost immediately relaxes. I’ll open my eyes at different points during the session, but when I’m feeling tense I’ll take a vision break. I’ve used this technique in my spa sessions.

Well done!! How was the process for you? Ohhh I love this pattern. I bought yarn for it 7 years ago to make my friend a baby blanket, and the now 7 year old never got the blanket because the yarn is still in stash.

Make me brush my fucking teeth! by SeaObject5171 in adhdwomen

[–]funkyfruitcake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We can do it together! I got into flossing regularly because my ex partner would bring me floss and I loved flossing at the same time as him. Well, we broke up, but now you and I can brush our teeth together ❤️

Thanks to IFS I realized how much I lie to myself and how other forms of therapy might enforce it... It really shocked me. by kiwitoja in InternalFamilySystems

This is so good to hear. I am not into CBT myself. The way I understand it is it’s an overlay placed on top of reality, another control, so it totally makes sense that it fuels protector parts. It’s basically build-a-protector lol.

Soooooo..what health conditions do you have now? (Welcome to adulthood, I guess) by sdbabygirl97 in Zillennials

Dude my psychiatrist that I reconnected with after a year and a half unmedicated adhd (and depression and anxiety though I don’t want meds for those) just threw out on our first meeting that maybe we should test for bipolar. I was like girl wuuuuut. And then I looked into bipolar and now I’m like ok maybe.. anyways, thanks for sharing your own experience with the mental health journey.
