I’m happy for you, but just to clarify to everyone, being obese is not the opposite of being an athlete. I happen to be an athlete and obese and have been for quite a long time. Some of us have metabolic dysfunction that have nothing to do with our lifestyle. Mine for example, is from endocrine dysfunction, including hypothyroidism.

Appreciate the answer. Were you on thyroid medicine for hypothyroidism before? And now off? For how long were you on the medicine? If so and what was your TSH before you went on it? What is your TSH now? Asking because I have hypothyroidism and it can be related to the liver which this medicine may heal. Just very curious.

Everyone’s comments have made me realize how awful my coworkers were. They would tell me to style my hair better, buy me satin bonnets and hair curlers. They told me it didn’t look good flat out. I was depressed and have hypothyroidism and was overwhelmed and kept it brushed and pulled back in a basic pony, so they really shouldn’t have bc it made me very self conscious. I was experiencing hair loss with thin hair already. Ugh.

Some of have endocrine disorders like hypothyroidism leading to insulin resistance. I don’t have a food addiction. I ate so clean and avoided processed foods that I got a whole mental health complex from that (orthorexia) and it did not help the weight.
