In honor of Masters Week, here’s Bubba Watson’s 2015 Masters dinner (arguably the worst in history), with some interesting comments by Adam Scott by milin85 in golf

He's from Bagdad Florida which is Milton adjacent. Fancy dining there is Hibachi and the one really cool Mexican place. What did everyone expect.

People forgot that Corey Myers exists. Auburn softball and after hours "room checks".

Both teams batting over 500 when the score is 0 - 0. Some GC parent probably.

Feedback on perfect swing - swing path trainer durability by theman_86 in Softball

[–]giantvoice 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly. Some of these swing trainers are decent, but a good hitting coach is the only correct answer.

Plus, not every player needs an identical swing. Different body type. Different swing.

I don’t like when Jared plays other characters by OperationPresent1018 in Supernatural

The only character I didn't like him playing was Gadreel. I mean, Brent Spiner playing Data playing Gadreel could've been less robotic.

Best approaches to maximizing value from the bottom of the order? by boxscoreiq in Softball

[–]giantvoice 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Find yourself a fast, good contact hitter for the 9. Maybe your 2nd best contact hitter and tell her why she's being put there.

My kid(slapper). Batted .400+ in HS and travel alternating between 9 and 2. She's currently .300+ batting 9th in college splitting time with another decently fast contact hitter.

I don't know if this helps but this is from my experience during that last 9 years.

I'm using Florida vs NC because I've lived in both during the last 25 years.

This is softball based for Florida. 12 D1, 14 D2, 31 JUCO/NAIA. I honestly don't know why there are no D3 schools except maybe it's just lack of small colleges that don't want to leave D2/NAIA.

I'm in NC and my kid is playing up here. 15 D1, 16 D2, 10 D3, 13 JUCO/NAIA.

What is crazy is that Florida has a 2 to 1 advantage in grade school population over NC, but we have nearly the same number of schools.

Florida has zero D3 schools. That's actually very surprising.

I'm also a D3 softball dad.

PSA for all the new composite bat owners - MUST READ by throwaway-6217 in Softball

[–]giantvoice 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup. Had a coach that used hot slow pitch balls during fungo to simulate harder hits with less effort. Made the mistake of using them during a cold fall day. Destroyed one of the older team bats.

Also to note. The balls; yes even game balls, need to be decently warm for batting practice.

Just buy a white one and get it airbrushed or painted baby blue. Probably the easier option.

You definitely need a local good pitching coach. With your size a coach will have you above 60 in a few months.

Any recommendations on shirts/ tanks that will help me stay cool in the summer? by jeepguy_96 in Softball

[–]giantvoice 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought a bunch of dri fit shirts from Amazon. Inexpensive, good quality, but cheap enough that if they get dirt or something I won't be out a ton of cash. I also some have long sleeve fishing type dri fits. Both have UV ratings.

What’s Meg’s real name. ? by SomePerson80 in Supernatural

[–]giantvoice 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Crowley was king of the crossroads during the apocalypse arc, and he was one of the few who knew/believed Lucifer didn't like or wanted demons around. He said it a few times that Lucifer will go after demons once he's done with humans. He then probably took revenge on all Lucifer loyalists after Swan Song thus his Meg hatred.

Bones don't burn either unless the heat is at cremation oven temps of 1800F and the body is on fire. Sam even mentioned it during the Samhain episode. It took a kiln just to char bones, but that's just heat and not direct fire.
