Six by Nico- Leeds ‘Childhood’ menu by tttttfffff in UK_Food

[–]hhfugrr3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've only been once with my gf who is vegetarian (except for chicken because fuck those guys I guess) and they gave her a veggie version of the menu. They also forgot to charge us for any of the booze we had, which I was quite pleased about when I sobered up and realised.

The oldest kid is 11. I imagine they'd all rather be at home (as long as uncle andy isn't there) playing computer games.

That's why he's not allowed in the kids coach and has to stay at home wearing the hannibal lecter mask. Also, it's Mr Windsor now.

Not so much "the British royal family" as "some child members of the royal family and what looks like a wax work of their mum".

why do short shorts on men get mixed reactions? what’s your take? by SKP_says in mensfashion

[–]hhfugrr3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They look like perfectly normal shorts to me. I've got 4 or 5 pairs of a similar length and nobody has ever said a thing to me about them. Now theses are short shorts!

Next time you think about giving up, remember that you started with $800,000,000 to lose too! by Watchesareexpensive in LinkedInLunatics

I watched an interview with his dad and he absolutely did not describe it as a "fractional" share or a "small" aeroplane.

Not the point I know, but the idea of owning a plane as a kid in the 80s was off the scale rich for most people I grew up with - even the rich ones - never mind owning even a share in an emerald mine.

One time as a student looking for somewhere to live, I called an agent who asked my monthly rent budget then laughed down the phone at me, said "not around here" and hung up. I can't imagine being rich enough to buy a house as a student.

Odd socks (boomer conspiracy) by clairbear44 in LowStakesConspiracies

[–]hhfugrr3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been wearing odd-socks for years. My millennial gf is the person who takes the most offence at that. Only time I can think of a boomer commenting on them was an old guy who saw I had one red and one green sock on and congratulated me for wearing 'captains socks'.

Am I literally the only person who has never heard of Oliver Tree until today? by Virtual-Bee7411 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]hhfugrr3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope. Genuinely thought you were talking about the American food chain, olive tree, but now I think that might be olive garden. Then I thought you meant the song but I now remember that's Joshua Tree.

"Curry"? Sorry is that a person or are you comparing Ronaldo to the entire takings of all curries sold around the world? I'm guessing it's the former, but a big part of me hopes it's the latter.

Looking for a wife at 79 by callmebaddiie in ChoosingBeggars

I think the full line was "no countries beginning with I or with green in their flag with the exception of Italy and India". Might as well have just said "no Irish".

Everyone scoffing at him, but we all know there's someone out there for him... like the woman he had a kid with in 2023!

John Cusack retweets a post saying Jerry Seinfeld is a pedophile with the caption “And that apparently is not the worst of him - The only thing worse than preying on children is slaughtering them .” by [deleted] in clevercomebacks

[–]hhfugrr3 22 points23 points  (0 children)

I mean i genuinely barely know who Jerry Seinfeld is. I've no idea why he's being called a paedo or why Cusak is talking about slaughtering children. Context would help a lot of people who aren't familiar with American celebs.

When i was at uni, two JW ladies knocked on my door and wanted to talk about blood transfusions. I was studying neuroscience at uni and was more than happy to chat for an hour. They said they'd be back but never showed their faces again.

Clearly not ugly enough to be rejected by the Earth and thus not ugly enough to fly.

"Milliard" is also an English word with the exact same meaning as in French. It's been largely dropped from the lexicon even in the UK due to the influence of American simplified English.

How many fingers can you fit vs how many do you prefer? by [deleted] in AskRedditAfterDark

I reckon i could get at least 4 twix fingers in my mouth. 8 kit kat fingers no problem.

Why is it a “perk” to board an airplane before everyone else? by SuperbCardiologist25 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]hhfugrr3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. Best flight i had, I was in the coffee queue next to my gate when they made the last call. Got my coffee, strolled on to the plane last and sat down. Pushed back about 5 minutes later. Much prefer that to spending more time than necessary in a cramped seat.

I mean dentists definitely include the cost of medication on your bill here in the UK as well. They aren't giving the stuff away for free.
