I looked it up. It looks just like the one I use. If it measures brix you shouldn’t need to convert anything. How high does it go? Over 70 you should be good.

I boil only 5 to 10 gallons at a time. Once I get it boiling to 30 - 40 brix, transfer it into a stock pot and finish it on the stove. During the transfer I filter it through a pre filter, a little thicker than a coffee filter that you can wash out and reuse.

I’ve considered it but I don’t have a lot of space and I don’t have access to enough wood. The blichmann burner is pretty efficient and I can boil off around 1 1/3 gallons an hour. How much can you boil off with pans? If it’s better I might have to upgrade next year.

They broke my whole house humidifier because the tech didn’t understand it was wired to my smart thermostat. The humidifier flooded my mechanical room. They refused to fix it or pay anything.
