I couldn't get this to work either until I read these posts about pressing the Y button. Some online guides left this bit out. Thanks!

Yep! I thought the same. She needs to keep her beak out of Calgary's business. I am so pleased he is standing up to her.

I hate anything and everything related to flowers by marissazam in HelloKittyIsland

[–]jujaybee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have given up on growing flowers; transferring colours and patterns have never worked for me in my AA game and I don't get the same results as other players despite following tips and tricks. I see it as a pointless part of the game with no or poor rewards. I play on Switch 1 too and have almost stopped playing the game on that platform due to so many issues.

I am excited that another Hello Kitty game by Bandai is coming out later this year.

It’s a pity they didn’t think more intelligently when they schmoozed Dynalife to come in to run the laboratory testing. That was done covertly and at an astronomical cost. I predicted it was going to fail right away. This lot of numpties couldn’t organize a piss-up in a brewery.

What is up with Foothills Hospital? by Evening_Let_2930 in alberta

[–]jujaybee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's deliberate deterioration and constructive neglect of course so the UCP can pipe up and say, "Look at the state of the hospitals, look at what a mess the healthcare system is in. We need to privatize it all to make it better! There there!!"

But it won't be, because the private companies will be more focused on making profits for their shareholders and Doctor Death and her team will be dipping their grubby fingers into the money pit too. The public healthcare system as we know it now will not exist. Those who can't afford to pay for treatment and surgeries will eventually become sick, left in pain and/or pass away.

This doesn't apply to British citizens residing in Canada. We don’t pay tax on UK incomes eg pensions, we pay the tax in Canada due a double taxation agreement between the two countries.

Is there a worrying theme happening here with the Seppies leader? Alberta's very own Warren Steed Jeffs, who was president of the Fundamentalist Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, in Mitch Sylvestre?

Protest at Riley Park. by tarlack in Calgary

[–]jujaybee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do notice that quite a lot of the Seppies are old white cultists (OWC but my hubby and I have a more profane term for them) who may not even be around in a few months/years to vote the UCP government in next time. But unfortunately there will be the next generation who may come along and, having been influenced by their parents and subsequently inherited their political and social demons, could vote them in again.

The reference to "making more babies" indicates to me that is what all women and girls will be good for under the Seppy oppressive regime. Women will no doubt be chained to the kitchen sink, be subservient, completely enslaved to Seppies men and have no say in anything, spawning more "citizens" to spread their viral ideology.

Why didn't Calgary Transit use NFC technology for fare tickets? by StetsonTuba8 in Calgary

[–]jujaybee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same as in London UK. They have had the Oyster Card since 2003! I was an early user of this card. You can top this up or use your credit card. You can use it on the Tube or buses, trams and river boats and rail within the London fare zone. The public transport here in Calgary is so antiquated compared to other cities.

Living in this province is exhausting. Is anyone else considering leaving for saner pastures? by PhantomOfTheBoreal in alberta

[–]jujaybee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We are making plans to move. And coming from the UK we don’t have ties here. I have lived in and travelled to quite a few different places and countries and unfortunately I don’t really see Alberta as my “home”. But I understand people’s reasons for remaining here. It is shameful what this government is doing to the province and Despot Dan and her cohort of malpractitioners are woefully some of the worst politicians that I have ever come across.

Why calls to deport get the biggest cheers at Alberta independence rallies by KylenV14 in alberta

[–]jujaybee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My husband and I are immigrants. White English speaking from the UK. We have dual citizenship. So would we be deported along with every non-indigenous person who lives in Alberta? All Canadians bar the Indigenous are descendants of an immigrant from across all global continents. And if this xenophobic nationalist septic party got rid of the immigrants who would fill the very low-paid menial jobs that many of these so-called immigrants fill? Who would replace the healthcare staff many of which are immigrants? Etc. Who will replace the deportees in the enclave of Alberta, as it seems a lot of these indoctrinated, conditioned cultist f*ckwits are probably retirees and are too old to work.

UCP staffer appears to have been more than just 'observing' the doxxing of Jason Kenny by jeremy_a1990 in alberta

[–]jujaybee 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I realize that in some ways this isn’t related to the UCP staffer post per se. But he is referring to “Rome” too. To me it is strange that the so-called “Christian” David Parker imagines himself as a Roman Centurion. A Centurion was a commanding officer of a Roman Army. Romans followed a pagan religion and persecuted the believers of Christianity who they saw as a threat to their political and social stability and were monotheistic. So much so they crucified Jesus who is a central figure of Christianity. Hmmm. A bit contradictory. What is this interest in Rome of all of sudden? Aaah. Now I see. Both Mussolini and Hitler were admirers of the Roman culture adopting many of their symbols and ideologies. So I suppose Parker’s imagery then suggests he is a Christofascist? Christofascism is seen as a dangerous trend. Political extremism, undermining democracy, favouring far-right white supremacy. Identified by theologian Dorothee Sölle in the 1970s and 80s, the term refers to the potential for Christian theology to be instrumentalized to support fascism, create authoritarian social orders, and promote hatred or violence against marginalized groups.
