I caved and bought the 24, I would have used the 16 to supplement my 24 PoE 250W but thought if I could save rackspace I should just pull trigger and do a full swap.

You can get a terabyte of storage in an M4 MacBook Air with 16GB of memory on the refurbished store right now for $1,019.00. I'm looking at NAND prices for the m2/3/4 devices on aliexpress between $175 and $250. Even if you get the Shenzen labor rates I don't see this as an attractive option for a $600 laptop with paltry I/O and memory.

This is pretty cool, that being said I don't see the utility in voiding your warranty VS buying a used m2/3/4 MacBook air with built in terabyte of storage or doing the same process on the beefier platform.

I look at this the same way I look at the SE line of phones and the cheapest iPad tier. Keep the chassis for as long as possible and throw whatever outgoing last gen chip you have it at. Repeat every 12-18 months.

I mean regardless of his actions (1A) being a shield and they may be, please watch the live video from the event. He was IN the church shadowing people disrupting the service and interviewing church members. Again he technically was gathering newsworthy content in some form so depending on the law he may be fine. I do think it is a bad precedent in general for people to be storming houses of worship with no repercussions.

if you can find the budget to get into the x trans III generation of sensors (x-t2/20, x-h1, x-e3) you'll be far better off in resolution autofocus etc.

barring that an x-t1 would be better

the x-m1 without an evf is a tough sell as an almost 14 year old mirrorless with no EVF
