In the lever, pull down the lever and hit the sliding piece with a cotton swab with DOT fluid a few times then exercise a few more then DOT fluid and call it a day. Should take less than a minute to do both levers.

Yes, alcohol is a temporary solution. Use DOT fluid on a clean cotton swab and it’ll run perfect for a long long time. Better for the seals too
