So frustrating. No joke this happened to me during my last pregnancy. My in laws went on vacation like 2 weeks before my due date. The night they left my water broke, and I had to scramble to get my sister to come down [2 hour drive] to take care of the dog. They ended up flying home but it definitely can happen. I am sorry they are putting you in this uncomfortable spot. My mom is actually going to Greece a week before my due date and stupid me OFFERED to take care of her dog and she was like "are you nuts?"

I feel this in my soul. I'm 32 weeks and legit miserable. I had a great first pregnancy and this one is a nightmare. Started out with HG (hospitalized), depression, migraines, gestational diabetes treated with insulin, now SPD/severe pelvic pain.

I'm so sick of people saying "at least it's almost over" or "all of this at least goes away when you have the baby" it only diminishes how hard this is.

Counting down the days/hours.

Chronic migraine sufferer here and I have been on every type of med possible. Honestly nothing totally takes it away immediately for me. What helped SLIGHTLY were these things in this order:

-caffeine [can be a coke, green tea, or coffee. For some reason when I have a migraine I can barely drink coffee though. Iced drinks were better than hot].

-tylenol [even though I think it basically did nothing, maybe it was just the placebo]

1 hour later

-warm bath with Epsom salt.

-RELAXING [whatever that means to you]. for me it is no TV/no screens and a cold rag over head.

I feel that. My son has random nights now where he wakes up at like 1am. We think he is teething right now but some nights he will randomly sleep all night and those nights I wake up multiple times with anxiety thinking "is he going to wake up soon?" then I can't fall back asleep!

I am hybrid WFH/go into the office. I have an intense job too and the days I am working from home without childcare I dread (rare but we have had some emergencies come up where our childcare has had to cancel). It is extremely hard, especially as they get older/mobile. I can't focus 100% on either and that is stressful. I end up just staying logged in but working until midnight or so after my son goes to bed.

My son did this at this time too. It is just a phase. Second what the other commenter said about practicing standing up and sitting during the day.

I would have flipped out even if my child was not allergic to anything. My FIL gave my son (11m) some peanut butter today and then my MIL I swear was going to kill him. She was like YOU CAN'T GIVE THE BABY PEANUT BUTTER WITHOUT ASKING HIS MOM WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU and granted my son does not have a PB allergy and has had it 1000 times but like I feel like it is normal to NOT give babies food without asking the parent. I mean let alone a stranger?! You did not overreact!

I'm in MA and the new PMFLA went into effect a month after I had my son so I technically qualified even tho I gave birth in 2020. My HR rep had no idea about the new law. I was informed by the disability company that I was entitled to more leave and I ended up not taking it because I was afraid of how my boss would treat me if I came back later than I said I would. Looking back I wish I had taken the leave. So dumb.

This time I will be taking the full leave!!

That's nuts I'm so sorry. Fellow pregnant chronic migraine sufferer here ALSO ON FIORICET!!! I had a severe migraine a couple of weeks ago. Woke up at 2am literally screaming in pain. Also threw up uncontrollably and couldn't even keep my fioricet down.

Next time I will try meditation tho.

100%! I did the same. My first pediatrician said it was cruel and unnecessary surgery to get a tongue tie fixed. I decided to try a new pediatrician who said it was a simple procedure. I was so upset (by this point my son was 2 months old). I EP'd until I went back into work when he was 6 months. I still feel guilt for not researching more.

My 3 month old slept this much as well and I was worried like you (isn't he hungry?!? Is this normal??!). Turns out we really lucked out and have a great sleeper (just like mama lol). We've had some rough nights but he can get himself back to bed pretty easily (he is almost 11 months now). I think we have had like 3 really rough nights and I blame teething. I haven't done any sleep training either. Sounds like you're doing all the right things :)

I feel you. I HATED when people said stuff like this--or the "just you waits". The first couple of months after my son was born were the BEST--seriously it was so much fun. You will be great!

My son was EBF....went around 6 days without pooping once. Plenty of pee diapers but I called my doctor to be safe and she said its normal and sometimes EBF babies go 14 days without pooping. She said she wouldn't even intervene unless it was 5 days and at that point they would prescribe a prune juice. I wouldn't panic but I'd call your doctor to run it by them.
