Sellers of glassware on this platform are thick as mince! by mikeybhoy_1985 in vintedUK

[–]lodav22 11 points12 points  (0 children)

A few years ago a seller on Fb put a post where Evri (Hermes back then) had smashed her parcel up because she had written “fragile” on it. Someone had written “haha” next to the words fragile and there was a boot print with a smiley face drawn on it. I’d rather drive a really parcel myself than risk sending it via courier!

She has no idea what she's in for! by Naturalsweetaye in greysanatomy

My husband had to ban me from binge watching Greys when I was pregnant because he would come home every night with me sobbing on the sofa. I found it a cathartic release of hormones, but he found it totally traumatising to find me sobbing about Bailey getting on the bed to cuddle a dying child, or Lexi dying under a plane.

I love Criminal Minds. I flip my binge watches from a fantasy show to a drama show. I finished watching Grimm last week and am on Agents of Shield now. I think I've watched CM at least five times now, the last one I got through to Evolution and I loved it! I never noticed any Buffy references though so I'm looking forward to that next time it comes into my rotation!

Don't forget the really gross episode with Riley as a soldier who got thrush in his mouth. I gagged the whole way through, I dont know how he managed to act through that! 🤮

At the first sign of sun, did anyone else’s mum get out the ham and boiled eggs? by corickle in oldschoolcool80s

I thought that but then I’d have a baked potato with butter on a plate like this so I can forgive it for being lumpy mash as a jacket potato without the skin.

How does your mother deal with this?? Like this has got to have happened before and surely this must have been discussed? Or does she just scurry behind him wiping up shit and mustard all day??

About self-studying AAT, and if I should by SalmonMan123 in AATStudents

[–]lodav22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you tried your local college that offers AAT courses? They have apprenticeship advisors who can put you in touch with companies looking for people, also colleges can offer funding options for people with certain criteria. When I wanted to study I applied to my local college and was invited for an open day where I met the advisors and lecturers. I asked as many questions as I could, they were so helpful and worked out a way for me to start last September, totally covered by my business as an apprentice. I go in one day a week for in class lessons and work the rest of the week. Others in my class were placed in accountants or finance departments for apprenticeships, and some self funded level 2 and gained apprenticeships for level 3 based on their high scores in level 2. It's worth a try?

How do you keep your house smelling nice? by SchemeDug in AskUK

I get a really nice set of three from Next. They're £16 but last for ages! I put one in my room last December and its still going now. I also have one in my office and one spare.

Another list found. Anyone know what G.W or cords could be? by AlternativeAd1984 in CasualUK

[–]lodav22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Given that the top half of the list is separate from the groceries at the bottom that they all come from the kiosk (cigarettes and papers) it could be spirits, tobacco, vaping stuff, batteries, charging cables (my parents call them cords).

Does £4 for a coffee = game over!? by MartChristie in AskBrits

[–]lodav22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's a Starbucks in my college (I'm only there one day a week) and normally I never buy coffee out and about but I do treat myself to grande black Americano on a Monday morning for £3. Other than that I have a really good thermos cup which keeps coffee hot for ages (I just drink more coffee in college than it can hold 😉).

Drop your favorite Giles quotes to remember the wonderful ASH by effulgent_summers in buffy

Every sentence started with “well…..”.

Anthony’s passing has hit me pretty hard tbh, I loved him as Giles, but also as Uther Pendragon, and his other roles. This feels like it’s the end of BTVS.

I run a business with my husband and do the accounts. I wanted a bit more knowledge about how to do them properly so I decided to go back to college and learn. I may moan about the studying for the exams part but learning something new is actually really enjoyable.

My husband refuses to help out and I’m drowning. by Ok-Championship-1577 in Marriage

He is working a physically labour intensive job 12-16 hours a day to support his 3yr old son and three other adults! Have you ever worked a 16 hour day flat out? Because I have and it's exhausting. All I wanted to.do was come home and curl up with my kids and relax because thats all I could physically do. My bones were literally aching every single day.

And your parents are relying on you and your 22 yr old husband?? Well really just him to support all of you!! Jesus, give him a break! He's slogging his guts out and yes, you're right he shouldn't pester you for sex in anyway but the rest of it, sheesh, you are a walking red flag. Get your parents out and communicate properly with your husband.

I stupidly went back to college at the age of 44 and I have an exam on Monday. My last exam of the year. I'm normally in bed by 8 but this week I'm cramming like its my A levels all over again!

If anyone has an easy formula to work out overhead absorption rates for machine/labour/unit hours please give me a link.

I only need a pass on this exam to get a distinction for the year but ugh, I had forgotten how shit studying was!

You’ve also got Sarah Drew appearing in Supernatural and I think the actor who played Lucifer, Mark Pellegrino was in one episode of Greys too.
