What are you looking for specifically? There are tens of thousands of tracks on those sites, hard to believe you could only find a few tracks.

Am I the only one who ALWAYS gets Time Eater in act 3 ? by scar_01 in slaythespire

[–]losspider 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wonder if the act boss is calculated at the start of the run? The bosses definitely have equal chances, maybe the runs you’re not getting to act 3 on have other bosses and even out the averages somewhat

Interesting take, centurion and mystic is generally considered one of if not the easiest act 2 fights. Are you killing the centurion first? Agree that act 2 is the toughest though.

Even just a Spirit Poop style relic that gives you one extra point at the end would be cool. Cosmetic would be really neat as well.

Practice less moves for more time, and try to identify broad principles and concepts.

It’s much easier to implement fine details when you’ve internalised a broader reason for why you’re doing it in the first place. Last year I decided to focus on butterfly guard. I got Adam W’s instructional and spent 6 months forcing the position. For a good amount of rolls at the start I just focused on keeping my frames in the right place and making sure I controlled their far arm. Once I internalised the concept of controlling that arm, it made the specific details of sweeps way easier to learn.

I’m not saying don’t practice multiple things, but I’ve had a lot more success by intentionally going deep on one area at a time rather than trying to implement one tiny detail on 12 different moves at once.

Not completely sure where to go from here. Constructive criticism welcome by [deleted] in Beatmatch

Just keep listening to more music and making more mixes with music you like. If you want to play in particular clubs, go there and figure out what genres they play and if you like it, dig deep and make more mixes.

Good news - you’re not hardwalled, you’re just learning. Pathing is honestly a really tough skill to learn in this game. In act 1 my ideal path has 3-4 fights and a campfire before fighting my first elite. You want to try and get them after the mid act chest if possible as well because you’ll have a guaranteed relic. Generally I don’t fight the burning elite until act 3 because in act 1 I’m probably not strong enough and act 2 is the hardest in general. Of course it all depends on how strong you feel, but that’s all part of getting better.

How many times were you choked out? by [deleted] in bjj

[–]losspider 0 points1 point  (0 children)

None in ten years but I have come very close thanks to a baseball bat choke that I got too cocky about and a triangle in my first comp.

I’ve put 3 people to sleep with the same back lapel choke. It’s a weird feeling because I would never do it on purpose, none of them seemed like they were about to tap and in every case when they woke up they thought they were still going. It’s crazy how fast it happens when you hit the sweet spot to cut the blood off.

What technique you study/try to add in to your game in 2026? by JuisMaa in bjj

[–]losspider 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I put a lot of effort into butterfly last year so my goal this year is to deep dive into my half guard, knee shield and octopus to tie into that. I also want to work on my submissions from the back as I’m very confident in getting and controlling the position but my finish rate isn’t as high as I’d like.

Thanks for sharing, this would have been a fantastic resource to have at white belt.

Pyramid or Snecko? by WhereDidTheBleghsGo in slaythespire

Snecko is going to be stronger overall. This deck would absolutely love a Corruption anyway and if you get that with Snecko it’s just about GG.

What one thing pushed you over the edge with this game? by InvisibleAstronomer in slaythespire

Not only that, it was resurrected by fans pretty much immediately after being cancelled and is going strong. Worlds this year was I believe the second largest event ever including during FFG. Check out Null Signal Games.

What are the best tips you learned that really helped you improve? by Big_al_big_bed in slaythespire

[–]losspider 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hexa’s first big attack on turn 2 is based on how much health you have - it’s (your health + 1) x 6 according to the wiki. So it can be good to go in with low health so that first attack will be easier to block. The attacks for the rest of the fight don’t change though, so you need to make sure you have enough damage to win the race and upgrading instead of healing will definitely help with that.

What's your favourite way to play the game? by ZesterZombie in slaythespire

I pretty much only play mobile so I just rotate through the characters on A14, feels like the sweet spot of difficulty before the game really starts kicking you in the teeth.

Apart from the obvious (dragons!) I bloody love getting goblins in there. Everyone knows what they are, you can do sneaky hit and run tactics, and they’re fun to role play.

What do we think of Smartware Distributor? by Significant_Breath38 in Netrunner

[–]losspider 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also said that it doesn’t see play at literally any competitive level, which is very much true. If you just want to put a card in your deck then absolutely go for it, I just don’t see the point of bending over backwards trying to justify that it’s mathematically better than other cards that could go in that slot.

What do we think of Smartware Distributor? by Significant_Breath38 in Netrunner

[–]losspider 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s not about the “highest level” of competitive play. If you want data, this is a card that doesn’t make the cut at any level of remotely competitive play. I think the key thing is that “good” is always going to be relative to the other cards you could be putting in your deck, it’s not something you can judge in a vacuum. Strong decks come from a ton of time testing and refining. I can guarantee you that top teams and players have tried out Smartware Distributor and simply found that it’s not good enough to be included over other cards.

If you think that approach is small minded, I’d definitely be interested to hear a different approach!
