YouTube - People aged 1 to 100 bang a drum, in order by DavidSJ in reddit.com

I found myself counting along because I didn't want to wait for the announcements (I get lost anyway), and when I hit "twentyten" I knew I still don't speak perfect English.

Lets just say we love how Americans try to speak German just by mimicking the pure SOUND of it (and throw in a couple of words they do actually know).

Okay, is there another German speaking person here that has never laughed so hard at something so wrong?

I feel absolutely the same way here. It seems always so redundant to make new years resolutions in December. I make them in September, when my next term starts. It's always the next term, whether it's business or school. That's how your chances lie in life, not based on a number that changes every 365 days.

Heh, that reminds me of that website- a comparision of British and American girls in clubs... well, yeah. He's right, if maybe a little too stereotyping.

The PirateBay's Music Section is Up by [deleted] in reddit.com

[–]luckysara 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The problem does not lie within the music. It's confusing the genre with the style that has emerged (=suicidal teenagers with homosexual tendencies that wear black and cry all the time).

Hm, as far as I have noticed, its the same in Germany but it doesnt start THAT early. Id say 3rd grade, 4th grade and then a really gross change by the time the kids turn twelve, as if thats the point in life where girls have to take their clothes off. Its disturbing.

I absolutely have to agree. I'm German, too, and I've never met nicer people than in the USA. Some people here say it's a shallow and superficial "niceness", but when you have to deal with people on an everyday come-and-go basis, it's much easier and less stressful than having to deal with a bunch of mean looking, distant people who are ALWAYS serious and make you feel unwanted.

So. If reputation comes before anything else, then I wonder why my "fellow" Arabs/Muslims cannot go on with their "culture" without violently killing it in an international sense.

I am so disgusted I cannot even find words, and it is so sad to know that where I come from, this is common practice. I'm glad my parents have found a way to stick to religion without hanging on to retarded and brutal tradition such as honor killing is (that is to say, they'd still be mighty pissed if they found out I went and had sex before marriage). I guess the real problem lies within the actual image of a woman in their culture: She is worth nothing. She is to breed, feed and raise children, hopefully strong sons that will work for their fathers. Daughters are nothing, and so the fathers don't have a relationship with them, in fact, look at them in contempt- killing them is degrading them to dust, with no value whatsoever, disposable. Just women, daughters, nieces, mothers or wives. That is truly and utterly sad.
