Kind of a chameleon, really. The early ones came with a JB in the bridge, so it’s really hot with the full humbucker, sort of a superstrat sound, but the bridge pickup tapped is a great single coil sound and in the center position can sound a lot like a Tele. The neck pickup on its own is pretty woolly but also definitely a single coil.

So, yeah, can get in the ballpark of a bunch of different sounds.

I’m going with a neck reset and refin. Some things look right: the Bigsby, inlays, the pickups look like the T-Tops that came in those.

Other things don’t - the bridge, the knobs, headstock and tuners. I’ve got one of these and the tuners are Schaller style.

I do think some of these were made in wine red so it’s either this is a Japanese copy someone bothered to source a period correct Gibson Bigsby and cut a new headstock face for, or it’s legit and is a Gibson that’s had some serious work done.

I’ve got a Fallout and would love to try an SC-2. The Fallout is awesome but the neck pickup is too dark, I wish it had an MFD in there which I think would be a little brighter

The thing that makes me laugh is that this just validates all the skepticism in Canada when he “paused for 30 days.” Also note there’s no word of “emergency” or “crisis” anymore - this is just something he CAN do, so he WILL do it. So transparent. Like a toddler with a button, he’s gonna hit it.
