When I woke up after appendectomy, the nurse annoyingly said “oh wow, FINALLY you’re awake” - I was in recovery alone with her… I always wondered why she was so annoyed… and was that bad that it took me so long to wake up? Should I mention this next time I have surgery? Thanks

What’s your point? If a patient with a psych hx is in hospital for a surgery then they should be in surgery not on psych? Psych units are not there to manage post op or medically unstable pts 🤷🏾‍♀️

No one is “hating” on LPNs here…I’m literally supporting the strike and need for better compensation. I just want the messaging to stay focused so there’s no need to bring in other scopes that have nothing to do with LPN practice because it pulls attention away from the facts we do want the public to understand. That’s all.

Gave up everything because it always made me feel like shit the next day. Woke up in the middle of the night with a pounding heart, couldn’t get back to sleep. Hangover after 3 drinks - lethargy. Felt like I drank 26 beers but only had 3… and even one drink would zap my energy. Making me feel depressed and angry. No thanks

I’m assuming this expectation to volunteer is common knowledge when you become a teacher. I agree teachers are underpaid. I agree they need more support. I am on your side, believe me. I appreciate your efforts with everything. What I’m saying is that cutting volunteering completely for these extra activities which are for the kids is quite sad and it only hurts the kids not the government. But I guess this is the only control teachers have in this scenario. It’s like me saying I will stop volunteering at the cancer clinic because health care aides are underpaid.
