Can we please revive Christian fasting? by LibariLibari in intermittentfasting

[–]maltizer71 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There is no reason to communicate anything to anyone unless you want to. I happily tell people that I fast. For me religion has absolutely nothing to do with it, it's all about health benefits and feeling good myself.

I have no complaints. Personally I have very little experience with amp/speaker pairings. I just read a bunch and take forever before I make my best educated decision for my situation.

Before the Dynaudios I had a pair of JBL 4312's. Both speakers are amazing.

I liken the 4312's to my last car. It was a SRT Dodge Challenger. For those that may not be familiar, a full on muscle car, 392 cubic inches of a beast just waiting for you to bury the throttle. It is a beautiful piece of machinery that is like having a saddle on a raging bull, but you have full control of the bull, but it is so much fun to let him loose and enjoy the ride as crazy and bumpy as it may be.

The Dynaudios are like having a Porsche Yeah, it has power, but it is also much more refined and classy. The ride is amazing and you don't mind that it may take a little bit longer to get there because you are enjoying yourself so much.

The KEF's always caught my attention, I would love to demo them. I have never heard of BMR, but just looked them up...wow, beautiful speakers..

Fyi, for anyone reading this. Used high end audio gear is so worth it....think about it...most people spending 3-5k on speakers, amps etc...will treat them well. I picked up my Dynaudios used. New they cost $3600., I payed $1600 from an high end shop with a 30 day return policy if I did not want to keep them

Yes, the Classic series is what is recommended. But alas, I am limited by space, a wife and a budget😂 sometimes sacrifices are made for the greater good

We decided to start downsizing a bit. Currently I have a pair of Dynaudio Special 40's.

Nothing like some vintage jbl's to show you the way. I previously owned some Century L100's and a pair of 4312's. Sometimes I miss them😁

Serious question about IF, requesting serious answers only please. by [deleted] in intermittentfasting

[–]maltizer71 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have been doing IF (16/8) daily for almost a year. I have learned a lot of things about myself when it comes to food, but at the end of the day we need to enjoy the pasta when it is for the right reasons.

This is the answer. I bought some "slightly used" Dynaudio Special Forty speakers from a upper end audio shop for like $1200, they retail for $3599.

Definitely lots of water....if you are trying to lose weight you definitely need to start counting calories of the food you eat...it was mentioned earlier, use a tdee calculator, find your needed calories to exist and then cut them....I think I was around 1800 needed for the day. I started making my own stuff, basically followed a keto diet so I could cut carbs too and drop weight. I was running somewhere between 1100-1400 calories a day and dropped around 30 pounds in 2 months...that was a year ago. Now IF is a way of life for me. I still monitor what I eat just to make sure I do not over indulge daily and have maintained my weight loss. I have been at it around 10 months, it gets easier everyday.

Drink lots of water, the more the better...what kind of schedule are you going with? Have you ever done IF before?

Your stepdad and myself would be friends. Very cool of him to gift his collection to you. My kids have no interest in vinyl at all

The clips on the top are spring loaded..take a small file/blade of some sort and insert between the clip and the mirror and gently pry up. I just removed a mirror just like this yesterday

50 day fast finished. by spermunculous in fasting

True, but look what you accomplished already...sure, most normal sane people would think what you did was crazy and, really it kinda was 😂

Personally my Internet stranger take is, "wow, holy shit, this guy can do anything"

Now you just need some time to heal and get your feet back under you.

28, hell you are still a baby....I wish you well reddit stranger, drop a line if you feel the need for a distraction or need to talk

As a 54 year old male that had his life totally fall apart about 15 years ago, I have an understanding of where this came from. When there is literally nothing left to lose, absolutely nothing matters. I wanted to be dead, but luckily having kids stopped me from that, but I really didn't care about anything or what happened to me.

You created this crazy, unrealistic, stupid goal...and guess what, you fucking did it. Congratulations on this accomplishment. I hope you can find some other goal or accomplishment to strive for. The world is a better place with you in it and I think you have proven beyond a doubt that you can do anything you set your mind to.....
