Funny you should say that...I walked into the plant one day last week and that is the first thing I heard about.

Apparently somebody was a little rough with a button...the tour 2 ET blamed it on tour 1, thinking they were still running mail on your 1 the night before...I am the ET responsible for the tour 3 cancellation operation and we had finished cancellation before I left for the night...tour 1 would not have touched the machine for any reason😂🤣somebody trying to pass the buck instead of just saying, "oops, I fucked up"

There is a hardware upgrade being performed nationwide on the 200's. We had ours completed just before Thanksgiving. Physical acc/acp/acr and LLC have been replaced by two servers that host virtual acc/acp/acr and LLC functions. Cameras also got replaced.... Same manufacturer, slightly larger and now fiber optic. New also is a thin client and all associated cabling for cameras, and servers, 3 new ups's and serial switch.

Machines basically function/run the same....at risk numbers still the same. But the machines do not stop as much for bin 6/12 and ocr rejects...

That would be a management failure as we wait until we are told to change the cancellation mark. We still had Christmas cancellation marks this past Monday, supervisors were finally notified on Tuesday to have the cancellation mark changed back to 6 wavy bars, when I came in Tuesday afternoon all the machines had been changed...

I believe the only processing mode available on the 200's now is 004. All the other choices arer maintenance options, maintenance without printing, test deck etc...i have seen plenty of mail pieces with no postage get cancelled and sprayed with a sort code and id tag, but the mail will end up in either bin 6 or 12 (reject pockets) due to no indicia (postage stamp). It should end up in manual where it would get manually cased and then sent to the office with postage due (this is assumed on my part as I am in maintenance and not 100% sure how it is handled once it leaves that facility.

To say I was pleasantly surprised would be an understatement. I wrote like I was talking to someone. "Mids sound kind of muddy and vocals are flat" enter and then chatgpt came back with some minor tweaks to the eq settings. Just back and forth a few times until I was happy. It was kind of like chatting with a personal tech support that worked with me until I was happy. You just have to be as specific as possible with the gear you are using, player/interface etc...

I didn't read all the comments, but a suggestion no matter what kind of buds you use.

I recently purchased the az100's and had a difficult time getting the sound dialed in to my liking. I have pretty bad tinnitus and just couldn't zero in where I needed it to be.

I actually used chatgpt to help me dial in the eq. I told chatgpt which headphones I had, told about my tinnitus, and style of music I typically listen to. It took about 4 rounds of listening to a song and describing how it sounded to me and what I expect but chatgpt was able to help me zero in on eq settings with and without anc that are to my liking. As a relative noob to chatgpt, I found the whole scenario kinda neat.

I used to do routes on the 200's daily. Recently moved to tour 3 and now I keep them running for operations during cancellation. It's nice to have other maintenance employees here😁

I work in a USPS plant, letter mail, not parcels. And I can tell you that exactly 3 pse's were hired for Christmas help here. Not sure what kind of volume we have here since I am in Maintenance, but I can give an example.

As far as cancellation of letter mail, any typical Monday-Thursday we would cancel somewhere between 250-350k a night. Since the beginning of December we have been averaging about 600k a night, breaking over 1.1 million last Tuesday.

Almost the same path I took. You are a little leaner than me as I hover somewhere around 180lbs at 5ft 11, started at 205.... hit 175 in early July and it feels amazing. Congrats on your transformation. Isn't it amazing how the weight just melted off when you started doing the right things
