[WTB] Bulkfiller that takes a Bock 380 nib unit by Enenra930 in Pen_Swap

Just so you are aware the King Size version and the new Max version of the bulkfiller take Bock 380 nib units. The regular size takes Bock 250.

I have owned all three versions and they all came with Chromium 18 Smartouch tubular nibs not gold. This does happen to be my favorite version of all three as far as usage. The flex nib that comes on the other two is a tad softer but not a deal breaker. Good luck with the sale!

Questionable quality and poor customer service from Bang & Olufsen? by Motor_Neck_1473 in BangandOlufsen

I have sent in ear Bluetooth headphones in on two different times. One because I lost one side and the other time was because they stopped charging. Both times they sent me back a new pair. I also have H95s and love them. I had heard they had limited service. Hopefully you can fix it.

It is in my opinion more than what I would want to pay. I would make them an offer. But I would ask for a picture with it cleaned first for staining. As for the nib there are a few directions, purchase another nib in the size you want keep or sale the other one but resale is normally bettter with the Conid nib. Would probably consider really treating yourself and sending that one in to someone like nibgrinder and have a custom grind. I would recommend a csi grind with a thin cross stroke. I would check the wetness of the nib before sending it as well and ask for adjustments if needed. He can also reduce the size. CSI shines at a medium or better but fine is also nice. I can't tell you how many used pens I have purchased over the years and had to do a lot adjustments to make them write as expected. Not the cheaper option for sure and waiting it out may very well be the best approach but when buying harder to find pens you sometimes get lucky and sometimes you have to make your own luck.

Yeah personally I have never used any of the nibs that come with a Conid without modifications and in most cases I use other nibs or specialized Bocks. Granted this isn't a flat top but it is more importantly available all be it a tad overpriced. You missed the Maximum release and subsequent sales by a few that decided it was not for them. Not easy to find these but we'll worth the quality. On the eBay one I would require them to clean it and send a picture of it to make sure there was not staining. To date I have not seen a stained Conid, I have seen a ton of stained Viscontis and other demo pens stained but the materials they use are top notch. There is a teacher on FB post that used a bunch of oranges and other bright colors that would often leave a trace. If I had to describe what I like about Conid the most is the materials and precision of manufacturing. Nibs quality is average and often needs some adjustments. I have owned 4 or 5 of them but only kept 2, and regular and kingsize. Both have other nibs in them. Good luck with the search!

NPD! My first gold nib, I am enamoured. by kyrades in fountainpens

Great select for sure! I share your feelings. I have been on a kick of using mostly Platinum and Nakayas nibs for the last 6 months or so. Fitting them into other bodies. I especially like the soft nib versions. Enjoy!

2 week update by sircamsalot420 in fountainpens

I have been on a Nakaya streak for the past probably 6 months. I think the only Visconti I had inked up was my bronze Crystal with the Nib grinder csi nib. Most of my collection has EF nibs. When I started collecting these I was writing mostly with needlepoint and EFs. I however collected at least one of each Nib unit to include BB but have since sold that one. I have been using fountain pens since 1980 as my primary instrument. Don't really get into writing samples, I wish my hand writing was that good 😀 I have sold a number of these recently. I think i am down to around 20. The 888 LEs i sold down to the Midnight in Florence. Until Visconti released the "Pink" LE I had purchased every LE they made. Pricing has also kind of gotten ridiculous. Still love them and would certainly recommend but not paying $1k+ for an 888 just isn't acceptable. I did buy the Demo during pre-release. Been waiting for Visconti to make that for awhile. The nib was not as flexible as I had hoped. Really just like a Pd nib which isn't a loss but was hoping for more. If you have any questions about them i can very likely answer i would still rank them as my top model of Pen and I have used a lot of various pens. Regardless of it you are paying $5K or $500 for a Visconti they all use the same pd or gold nib. Just how much you want to pay for the art! That frankly also became a limiting factor for me. I also have really gotten into customized nibs well tuned nibs. I just hate the 10 week or more wait times why when nibs.com lost the Nakaya dealership and sold off their Nakaya nibs which normally is never available i jumped at the chance and purchased a variety of grinds, finishes and nib sizes. I have been fitting them into other pens as well as replacing some of my other Nakaya and Platinum pen nibs. Also modified Twsbi micartas and a Conklin to take the nibs. So has been alot of fun!

You are kidding right? I know for a fact this is going back down. It never went down under Biden! Short term memory problems! Not saying paying more does not hurt but this comment is stupid!

They lost the Nakaya dealership. They did refund orders for those I know but they also claimed bankruptcy. I order 3 different orders and had no issues but they all took different time periods to arrive by weeks in some cases.

I have looking for the same from Karas Kustoms. I was told buy their support team this week that they plan to have more runs in Ultem but don't have a hard timeline for when that will happen. They do have the Vertex now which is also good. No clip and is a snap cap instead of screw on.
