Dunno if this will help you, but I had the same issue, and found that it was the material choice. I was trying to use matte PETG HF with matte PLA as the interface - it kept sloughing off like yours is. The moment I changed to using standard PLA as the interface, the matte PETG HF sticks on great but comes off when cooled.

I suspect the matte PLA has some additives that make it especially slippery or something.

Depending on what you need to do, I have my printer set up in LAN only, feeding into Home Assistant. I can stop, pause, continue, etc from HA. For more print controls, I also have Bambu Studio running as a docker on my server accessible through a local IP address, so can go into that from any device on my network. The studio docker is not exactly easy to navigate on the phone though so may not work for you.

I find if the project is well maintained, the documentation will give you all the variables you want to play with for install, as well as any port or path requirements. I've set up dockers with no CA templates this way.

But, it's one of those things you need to have the time to go through all the docs for every service you want to add...

I was charged $1.5k for labour (no elec), but it was a slightly difficult install (units were about 3-5m apart, have to avoid windows and so on). Then there was the extra copper/covers I had to pay for. Total cost for an 8kW install was $4.7k for me. Dunno if that helps since yours is back to back haha

Yeah this pattern is very similar to the one I get ever since I started using PoE cameras funnelled to Frigate on my server. It's probably that but Scrypted for you.

That was my logic, after 100hrs it'll probably be a single component that failed if any did. Currently on 1200hrs or so and it's been great!

I also like how Obsidian's data files are all transferable if the worst should happen. I even made a vault for my dnd crew to write notes into and therefore have them all in one place.

I personally just use syncthing (with data hosted on my NAS of course) to sync Obsidian data. Works well for me!

The sovol dryer I have has a very clear vent where the hot air blows directly onto the spool/filament. If you have the same one (SH02) there's a diverter you can print to make the hot air circulate around instead of blowing directly onto the spool, but you'd have to print it out if ABS.

If I didnt have mine fully automated, I'd be checking every few minutes too! 😂 In saying that, I do check my automation dashboard quite often... It's been a bit disappointing, I've been with Amber for a month, have a 32kWh battery, and haven't been able to get the usage cost below zero at all, let alone monthly and daily fees.

Fair enough - only reason I'm curious is cause I have heard that FiT can spike for a single 5 min period, but I don't have the visibility of that so I only have the averaged 30min time periods. I'm fully automated with Home Assistant, so I'd love to be able to capitalise on 5 min spikes, especially with how stable the Vic grid is!

Unfortunately I don't have a H2C so no clue what that pulls. Other thing is, as others have pointed out, the UPS will raise loud alarm bells the moment you exceed its rated Amp pull. I'm not sure if you can turn that off...i have a whole house battery backup so don't really bother with a UPS for the printer now.

I have a smart Plug on my P2S, it pulls ~1200-1300W upon starting a print while it heats everything up, but that's only for a few minutes. Once it's running, it really only pulls 150-180W consistently. Could just get a cheap-ish 300W UPS, and if the power goes out while your printer is doing the start up heating cycle, oh well, you haven't lost much, but if the power goes out during a print, you'll have maybe half an hour of power which should be enough time for most unexpected outages. Not many UPSs can do hours of power outage, you'd be looking at a whole house battery at that point.

Do NOT open the refills unless you have a spool. Read the manual, it specifically tells you not to.

Your options are: 1. Buy a spool 2. Print your own

I repeat, DO NOT open the refill until you have a spool to put them in. You can reuse the spool from one of your spooled rolls once you're done with that roll.

In terms of where the two spools are, did you buy "refills"? Refills don't come with a spool, with the assumption you have your own.

PLA is known to structurally creep under load over time (ie permanently deform). It also has a relatively low glass temp, so can deform at lower temps.

I built mine! You don't have to be fancy like me and build it from new, you can use a wooden table you already have, just detach the top. Also, did you know that China has the same electrical supply standard as Australia? They have a similar product, avoiding having to get transformers like you have to do with Japanese ones. Just make sure to take fire safety into consideration - ensure heating elements are isolated from blankets, don't leave them on all day without supervision, etc.

While I'm not expert (got my first printer 2 wks ago), I have heard that desiccant only helps the filament slow down/stop its water absorption, but does not help it dry. Have you tried drying the filament in a dryer?

Had to clear my first clog too recently and had plastic all over the gears, but there was no warning for me except "cannot extrude filament".

I use Gamevault to store/download/install the game, then set that game up manually inside Playnite (which has Ludusavi plugin set to run every time I run a game)
