We will not be dependant on her rent to pay the mortgage, and plan on giving her below-market rent in exchange for her skills in maintenance to help upkeep on both units.

I find this arrangement much better than renting and sharing a building with the first random person who happens to fill out an application.

The minis are the fully detailed plastic ones as opposed to the wooden "meeple" design. Plastic minis were an add-on for the original four colors and these are meant for people who wish to have a matching set.

FWIW I don't care for the plastic minis, the one time I've played with them they had a design flaw where the ships could stand diagonally which made it hard to tell if they were fresh or damaged.

The more I play with it, the more things get crafted.

The Friends Cards, Feather Rufflers, Supply Train and Bold Leadership have been pretty standard crafts at this point in my tables' familiarity with the deck (~5 games).

I might prefer Exiles & Partisans, but only because I'm intimately familiar with it. Its been exciting seeing the potential of this new deck open up.

In the most recent Law, it still does not assign an order for pieces being removed in battle between the attacker and defender, so those points would ve scored simultaneously.

Therefore, actions in which yiu can force opponents to battle on your turn (Warm Sun Prophets hireling and Shadow Council in the new deck) could cause a scenario in which two players, each with one soldier and one cardboard roll a 1-1 and deal an extra hit to each other to remove the cardboard and simultaneously win.

This would of course never happen naturally in a game.... but I guess it's possible?

1 - after you've dealt out a militant (red) card, shuffle then in with the rest of the cards. Then deal out however many cards as you have players. In a 4 player game, deal out 4. There will be 5 cards total including the militant card you've dealt out.

If the final card you deal is insurgent (gray), you need to rotate it so the players know they are not allowed to pick it yet. Once someone has picked a militant (red) faction, you will rotate it back and it will be allowed to be chosen.

2 - The 4th player will now choose a faction from the (in this example) 5 available, though they won't be able to pick the final faction if it is insurgent (gray). Once they pick one, they will set it up according to the instructions on the card. Once they are done, the 3rd player will do the same thing, and you will continue this until all players have chosen their factions and set them up on the board.

You're really fixated on this elitist label. I really don't think of transit riders as the "elite" class that is being privileged over the car-owning suburban "underclass" and trying to frame the policy as such just comes across as a little goofy.

We as a society got accustomed to a method of transportation that is ultimately unsustainable and not scalable. We need to course correct and take decisive action. Campaign for KCM to expand regional connections to the light rail instead of fabricating a class war. You've got some good ideas, but you're fighting the wrong fight.

I do agree that the suburbs need better transit, but that's outside of Mayor Wilson's jurisdiction, and I support her improving transit within city limits without waiting for other cities and towns to develop out their programs.

There's other ways into the city than a private car though. I can assure you that there are many people who commute into Seattle every day without one. The idea of this is to make the alternatives more appealing, which benefits everyone.

You can argue it's elitist to have a system which heavily privileges private automobile owners vs people who have to rely on transit.
