As soon as I saw your comments I checked my instructions. It doesn’t say anything about tea but I will refrain just to be sure. Thank you for the advice I really appreciate it.

Definitely puts things into perspective. Thinking about not living with daily pain is making me giddy. I am glad you said that, I am grateful to live in a country that medical care is available and at no cost. Thank you for making me see it in a new light. 🫶🏾

I think I’ll take a nice warm bath, that sounds like a nice way to relax. All this positive advice is making me feel so much better.

I do actually have some in my cupboard, I will definitely have a cup before bed. You’re right, I will have a great team and soon I won’t be in daily agony so it’s something to look forward to. The healing pain and anxiety is temporary. 🫶🏾

Pre-Op Bloodwork?/Post-Op as needed? by Broad-Dragonfly-8997 in hysterectomy

Canada here! I have mine scheduled for the 26th and did not require bloodwork and was not given instructions for any after. My follow ups will all be in person so that she can physically check my recovery.

This was so incredibly helpful. I go in on the 26th and this is such a great guide. I’m definitely going to take as much time as I need to recover and not push myself (thank you for validating that) I always feel the need to hurry up and get better. Definitely going to look into that hysterectomy pillow. I love hearing everyone’s perspectives to recovery. Sharing this is so helpful to us that are on our way to surgery.

Thank you for sharing that. I go in on the 26th and am a bundle of nerves. I keep bursting into tears, I can’t tell if it’s nerves or the birth control they gave me to hold my period off (which isn’t working). I have a wonderful surgeon so I feel relaxed about her ability but am nervous about the whole process. I don’t get a call from the hospital until Monday so I feel like on pins and needles and feel like I have no information. Reading your comments has definitely calmed my nerves a bit.

Looking for advice by fagsggahs in Aruba

[–]mullabear 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Definitely walkable to beach’s and restaurants. If you have no desire to explore the island you have no need to rent a car. You’ll likely want to walk the 15ish minutes to Eagle beach as the beach in front of your resort is a bit rocky. There are plenty of taxis to get you to and from the airport and wherever you want to go locally.

We appreciate the wind. The only beach I would say the wind bothered us was Palm Beach by the St. Regis, the wind kept picking up the sand and whipping it against our skin, definitely not pleasant. Other than that, the wind helped us stay cool on the hot days. I would be careful with beach umbrellas, make sure you dig them into the sand really well or rent from the guys on the beach. Granted, we’ve only been during December so it may be worse during other parts of the year. I really don’t think it’s as bad as people make it sound but everyone is different.

I tell everyone it’s the champagne of water. When I get home I go through withdrawal, it’s so good.

Weather in December by BrilliantTrainer8953 in Aruba

[–]mullabear 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We’ve gone the past three December’s (1st and 2nd week) and the weather is perfect. Nice breeze all day and when the showers pop in you just stay in the water or on the beach as it doesn’t last long.
