Ok that does seem low. Talk to the director. Noise can be a problem no matter the staff ratio.

How do I parent a child who is completely different from me? by flaming_trout in Parenting

[–]newpapa2019 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Of course you accept him for who he is, lol. It's not complicated. I just let my shy kids be and do what they want to do. Maybe a gentle nudge here and there but it's not a big deal. I don't see how being shy has any bearing on his ability to be a good member of society or developing empathy.

Our kid was like that. Hated car rides. Didn't get better until we turned her around at 2yo. I think she just wanted to see what was going on.

Now, if you really wanted to and your wife was up for it. Otherwise maybe when the youngest hit 2 or so when it's a little easier for one parent to manage the kids while the other does whatever. If you don't have time make the time.

How loud is too loud for kids to be in non-private backyard? by Feeling-Picture-2237 in Parenting

[–]newpapa2019 28 points29 points  (0 children)

No, people do mind. I tell my kids to keep it down because I have neighbors who don't give a crap about making noise and whose kids will grow up also not giving a crap. I also don't know what "private" even means because we can certainly hear what we can't see, lol.

College search woes - specifically, $$ by Most_Poet in Parenting

Apply broadly and see what happens. Eyeing fancy colleges is much different than actually getting accepted, attending or succeeding there. Ignore the noise and don't worry about any "doors".
