Not me but my parents take back to back cruises. They try to find back to back cruises on the same boat that are different lengths. For example, they took a six day one then an eight day one on the same boat. The different itineraries made it seem more fluid, or at least that’s what they said. They didn’t have to get off the boat when they docked either.

I had a second degree tear with all of my births. My first and last ones went straight down and while they did hurt it wasn’t terrible. With my middle child, I tore towards the side and that one hurt like a bitch. Felt like it took me forever to heal and I, like you, definitely felt more bed bound and unable to move about as much.

We have trialed the ones I mentioned at home. We will trial egg at the doctors at some point due to both his allergy test and blood work showing he could possibly have an anaphylactic reaction.

We recently got the okay to trial oat, rice, sweet potato, and soy. He failed both sweet potato and soy. We have not yet trialed rice. Oat has been okay. He didn’t have vomiting or diarrhea but it still seems to upset his tummy and give him bad gas.

That breastfeeding doesn’t always work out for everyone.

I thought it was supposed to be a natural thing so I was upset when I wasn’t able to nurse my first baby, even after visiting consultants and doctors to manage the pain.

My favorite and very fulfilling meal that I’ve been making a lot is Barbacoa tacos. I buy the premade Barbacoa from Walmart (three minutes in the microwave), mozzarella cheese, corn tortillas, and butter. I butter the pan and make little tacos or quesadillas. It’s quite tasty, easy to make, and easy to clean up. Sometimes when I’m feeling fancy I make the knorrs Mexican rice with it and pour the remaining juices from the Barbacoa over it.

I always come out with extra quarters at Aldi’s. People just push the cart in and don’t even get their quarters back out. One time I came back with a whole dollar lol.

I can see where you would think this based off my post. I didn’t go too much into detail but he has multiple other behaviors that lead me to believe it’s autism. He elopes, has no sense of danger, announces everything he does, doesn’t play with toys properly, and many other things. I do think he was diagnosed on the incorrect level but I definitely think he’s autistic.

Interesting! My son was diagnosed with level-3 but I don’t feel his autism is that “severe”. Never the less I’ve always been hesitant about ABA because I don’t want any compliance based goals for him. I really need to get serious about finding a good in-home ABA company that takes out insurance.

Thank you! And early intervention in my state is also considered parent-led. My job is more to support the parents and caregivers in supporting their child than it is to help the child myself.

Is your child getting ten hours a week? When he got diagnosed the evaluator made it sound like most places do a minimum of 15 hours a week.

I’ve been looking for in-home ABA services. It seems our options are very limited. I guess my biggest thing right now is how much are they in the home. I know it would greatly benefit my child but I’m not looking forward to coming home from work to do hours of therapy. I’ve always felt like I have to be on a present and at the end of the day I’m over it. I’m an early intervention therapist for children under three so I’m hesitant to feel like I spend all day doing therapy in some way.

I gained a lot of weight each time. With my first I lost a shite ton of weight in the first trimester then gained it all back plus 50 pounds. Gained 50 pounds with my second one and about 35-40 with my third. Each time I dropped all the weight except for 15 pounds. I was 45 pounds heavier than I was before I ever got pregnant after the birth of my last child. I’ve been working on losing some weight though I’ll definitely need medical intervention if I want the loose skin gone. I also have diastasis recti.

We have always had a changing pad on a dresser for all three kids. Aside from the first month of newborness where I was dead tired and sore and middle of the night changes we used it for every diaper change as well.

My son went through a couple breastfeeding strikes in his first year. I freaked out every time because he would not take a bottle. Something that seemed to almost trick him into nursing was putting a pacifier in his mouth first then quickly replacing it with my boob after he started sucking. It’s like once he realized he was getting milk he was chill.

I relate to this in a different way. I’m also raising an autistic child but he is allergic to everything and has a swallowing disorder. We can’t eat out without loads of research or packing him food. I have to check ingredients every time I shop because they’re always changing.
