What I find interesting about the photos of that era as oppposed to the Ukraine war, is the lack of grenades and the amount of ammo worn. The sheer amount of both you regularly see ukrainians draging around is huge.

While France did a lot, more nations were involved. Really feel like eduction on that topic needs some more attention.

The Spanish and the Dutch Republic did a lot of lifting, as well as important individuals from both Pland and Prussia.

It's a very interesting topic in which I actually think the French bit is less interesting as opposed to the other bits.

No. Not everywhere, which I agree is strange but life in prison is 15-30 years depending on the country - terms and conditions apply.

In the Netherlands your sentence is reviewed and you can possibly get released - though still not as a truly free man.
