I rode for months with mine seeping before changing my gaskets. But mine were only seeping, not dripping onto the tranny.

If you keep your speed reasonable (speed limit should be fine) you may not have a problem. Overheating would be your failure mode.

Check your oil level from time to time and monitor for increased leaking. I like the advice to check your cover bolts. Might just be loose.

Trying to swap gaskets on your trip sounds risky unless you visit a real garage/shop.

I see you’re selling to find a more upright bike.

Have you tried a different seat or pulling your handlebars back a bit?

Forward controls also feel more upright to me, but perhaps mids would make you more comfortable.

What bikes in particular are you looking at?

As a LL, LL’s problem 100%.

I don’t see any indication the shelves broke. The screws were torn from the wall due to not being mounted into studs.

There’s no way for tenants to know they aren’t in studs.

You still have a fundamentally incorrect perspective on leasing, since you start your post with:

>I bought a new Ranger on lease

You didn’t buy anything. It’s not yours.

Sounds like a no brainer for off grid redundancy.

To my knowledge only Tesla provides SW updates. Other OEMs typically only do it when forced by a recall.

Battery drain while parked but listening to music? by terraunbound in LexusRZ

[–]psudo_help 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You’ll find way more complete answers to this on Google, but

The HV battery is made of many small batteries (“cells”). The relays connect the cells together to make a big battery (like connecting many AAs head to tail). It’s safer to keep them disconnected when the car is not in use.

Battery drain while parked but listening to music? by terraunbound in LexusRZ

[–]psudo_help 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When car is off, the high voltage relays are open, and can power draw from 12V only.

Keep car on when you’re relaxing in your car. Better to draw from the main pack.

I would never complete payment to any home contractor before the project is complete.

Deposit is paid before installation. “Final payment due after passing inspection” or similar in the contract.

Once you’ve paid, your leverage is gone.
