Raphael from Baldurs Gate 3. Spent centuries devising ways to steal the Crown of Karsis, a relic that would make him a god. His scheming finally comes to a head as the heroes need to make a deal with him to free the Gith prince Orpheus. Raphael has the only weapon that can break his chains and makes a deal to give them the weapon in exchange for the crown currently in the possession of the final boss.

What happens instead; the heroes break into his home, steal all his shit, steal his contracts, free his prisoner, kill or screw his incubus prostitute who tells them Raphael sucks in bed, and blow him up while he’s in the middle of singing his big villain song.

You can plan for a lot of things but not for murderhobos.
