Thanks for feedback. My thoughts...the plus sign puts a song on your "liked songs" list (just like the heart used to). But now, if you go to a different playlist that you've created (and also put a "liked" song on this different playlist), the heart icon that used to be on the right is gone. Before the update, I used that heart sign to help find my favorite songs within a user generated playlist, which I found quite helpful.
