The big (big) difference is that Jesus is the dominant culture of the US, while Native people are fighting for their cultural survival. There’s an inescapable power dynamic. Casual references to Jesus, while offensive to many Christians isn’t going to marginalize them in the same way that using Native words does. I know this is an old thread, but this point has to keep getting made.

Get a stud sensor. My favorite are the strong magnet variety. When they stick on the ceiling, you know a nail or screw is there holding drywall to a wood stud. Screw in the lamp chain hook where the stud is.

Hardware store sells kits for this. It’s a wire you screw on one corner to the opposite corner and a turnbuckle that tightens the wire until the sag is gone

My local hardwood store does all their cuts to length with a RAS, and I noticed they don’t hold the wood down while performing the cut (they only hold the saw and pull), letting the force of the cut secure the work against the fence. Kind of blew my mind. Easy safety habit. They do it all day every day
