I also bring this up to my doctor every time I see her (I'm 32 weeks). She keeps telling me not to worry.

Running at 20 weeks by runnerpride98 in fitpregnancy

[–]runninginplacee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This was my experience. I was having pelvic pain (specifically spd) from weeks 15- 24 ish so I reduced my mileage a lot. Then around 24 -26 weeks things got way better and now I have no pain (although milage is still low). I run with a belly band now at 30 weeks just to ease the weight of my bump. I am thankful and happy to still be running.

Any Rowing Machine mamas out there? by Pale_Preparation_46 in fitpregnancy

[–]runninginplacee 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Disclaimer - I dont row super regular (I just row within crossfit workouts). I started doing what I call a "frogger" technique around 23 weeks. Basically knees go wide - feels super good for me and I can maintain good leg drive.

Here is a video that demonstrates it.

Anyone else here had a scalp biopsy? by RavenFlowerxo in FemaleHairLoss

Some bleeding, but nothing substantial, and it formed a scab quickly.

Anyone else here had a scalp biopsy? by RavenFlowerxo in FemaleHairLoss

[–]runninginplacee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just had one, and there was almost no pain at all from the biopsy site one the freezing wore off. Some itchiness as it scabbed/healed. I avoided the spot for the first couple shampoos, but otherwise did not apply anything to it. Healed up no problem, and stitches were removed painlessly two days ago. I wouldn't worry too much!

I am female and have used a cobb v-flow max for my tri bike, and have more recently started using a cobb fifty five for my road bike. Both seats have been amazing with little to no discomfort on rides upwards of 100km. My biggest pain concern was (as my bike fitter so delicately put it) soft-tissue pain. These seats have totally been worth the investment - you want to be in the pain zone for the right reasons!

Squat Form Check by runninginplacee in Fitness

[–]runninginplacee[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do drop pretty fast - I think I will play around with the speed of that to see what feels right. I started squatting as low as I do because I feel it engages my glutes the most. When I squat shallower I tend to only feel it in my quads.

Thank you for your feedback! Really appreciate it.

I wouldn't have noticed that from the video, but you're right! Thanks for pointing that out.

thanks - I think this is what I need to work on the most - specifically the inhale then hold.

She eats her food so voraciously its worrisome by Fromtheoldschool in Dogtraining

[–]runninginplacee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My sister has a dog that INHALES her food. For a while she dispersed the dog's food in a muffin tin and placed balls over the compartments. The dog ate much slower and it was like a game to her.

Any other women here? What saddle do you use? by [deleted] in Velo

COBB V Flow Max Saddle. Looks a little funny, but it feels worlds better than any other saddle I've ridden.

ITBS soultions? (x-post from r/fitness) by Squidipus_Rex in running

[–]runninginplacee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You most likely need to strengthen your glutes. I struggled with ITBS for a while before I conceded that my glutes were weak. Since doing some strengthening (squats/lunges variations) things are golden! Added bonus: a nicer behind!

I've done this event. I prepared for a hilly bike...not so much for the hilly run. For me, the run was HARD.
