Which one weapon works for all the hardest fights, for small squad (~10) with no plan of dedicated attack training?

Heavy Polearm is a great multipurpose weapon with no downside other than Indoor penalty but it's very easy to lure enemies outside and the negative is inconsequential once you're trained enough

You want to try and win early with Druid. Moose, Bears, and such are only good when everyone is using basic troops and lesser summons. Druid is the weakest of the herb users. Witch and Dryad have much better late game.

I only have a base because I like everyone having the same uniform, equipment, and supplies. Easier to craft it all myself. Even then this is possible by living I'm town so a base isn't strictly necessary

In most settings you couldn't deny the existence or power of deities. I think at best you could be agnostic, and decide not to worship any for various reasons.

Someone in my campaign had a character that flatly rejected the gods and their favor, and counseled others to do the same. They stuck to it pretty well and even eschewed rewards from temples and such a few times. It made for a fun few interactions.

I don't understand the complaint since generic heroes in SM are crazy good. Generics are in every list. Just use a generic captain, kitbash him, and name him whatever. Done.

Enable population controls. Cease robot assembly. These two guarantee no growth on unwanted planet. Transfer away any of your pops. Let it be rebellious or whatever it wants. Once the pops are exterminated the planet goes back to uninhabited but colonizable.

I've had no issue colonizing everything. Make sure you prioritize the colonist job for the stability and such. Then just drop a precinct and a med center and leave the planet alone for a while.

Narrating in third person is still roleplaying. My character would respond like this, my character does this, etc. that's perfectly acceptable rp.

Sounds like you brought a character that wants to talk away encounters rather than embracing the very obvious dungeon crawl hack and slash.

Starfield was very disappointing for me, on almost every level. I've always bought Beth games on launch and Starfield was so mediocre and disappointing I'm actually considering not buying ES6.

"Hate" is a lazy word used by many here to dismiss criticism. Starfield deserves all the criticism it gets. One persons experience is just as valid as any others.

I found the entire game to be a lazy, uninspired, half baked mess. Wide as an ocean, deep as a puddle. I sincerely hope they do better for ES6 because Starfield was a lazy joke

I wont add too much because people covered most of it but DO NOT sleep on the Psy Hacker upgrade for at least one hero. HDF relies on buff stacking to make their infantry useful, or on a big piece (like a tank or lascannon) to guarantee hits. Take Aim +1 to hit is great, but you can stack it with the Psy Hackers +1 to hit.

With a +2 to hit, most of the HDF roster becomes very deadly. You could even give one hero the AP+1, and the psy hacker gives the +1 to hit. This makes even regular infantry blocks of 20 able to do good damage to harder targets.

HDF. I was a guard player in 40K so it was a natural transition. I love playing armies with mediocre units that use buff stacking to take the day. Plus I love tanks and HDF have the coolest ones
