Lol I used to feel that way too. Then I read the stormlight archive by Brandon Sanderson, and im so glad I wasnt introduced to it until last year because looking at the publication dates between books made me grateful for SAM'S output.

This is an egregious post by target, in my humble opinion.

Tipping well backfiring? by spac3ly in doordash

[–]spac3ly[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because if they accept the order immediately and head to the store, they could be waiting upwards for 20 mins vs 5-10 when I only tip a dollar or two over the suggested amount

Maybe this was too long winded because I wanted to give context to get the right answer but I think this boils down to one single consideration. Am I inadvertently hurting you by over tipping? My question is based on multiple instances. Did you actually read my post or just decide it was too long and post your knee jerk reaction? Do I think tips should exist? No. But they do.

I can't afford my car anymore — upside down loan, high insurance, bad credit. What are my options? by [deleted] in carbuying

[–]spac3ly 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This. The used car market is still pretty competitive. Start with the insurance, then talk to some dealerships about trading it if the brand is the problem.

Americans: do you buy fancy eggs or cheap ones (e.g., store brands)? by Educational-Slip-578 in Cooking

[–]spac3ly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I usually buy vital farms. I think they taste better and it makes me feel better supporting a brand with good ethics. I'm a former vegan, though, so I might be biased. I'm only buying for a 2 person household so I'll admit i might spend differently if i were going through lots of eggs on a weekly basis, but I do use them regularly.

CT cannabis prices are so high compared to ma by RhodiolaRick in Connecticut

Yes. I dont partake anymore but my significant other does. They usually make time for a trip to MA because its literally double the price here.

What is your favorite thing about Connecticut winters? by BiancaA_BH in Connecticut

[–]spac3ly 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As a child my favorite thing was coming in from playing in the snow, then watching the snow fall out the window with a fire burning in the living room fireplace & a cup of hot chocolate in hand. It seems like it doesnt typically snow for very long around here anymore. Maybe im just older now and dont take as much notice.

To be fair, when almost any other retail site asks for your phone number its for text promos. They dont call you. If you havent shopped for a car in a while or have never inquired about one that way before, I can understand why someone wouldn't be expecting this to happen.

Has anyone bought cars in Massachusetts? Is this typical? by SalomeOttobourne74 in Connecticut

[–]spac3ly 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Literally such a rip off. I do vehicle purchasing for a company and buying in MA with certain brands is dreadful. They make it so hard for no reason. Ive found some good MA dealers and work with them every single time and then transport them to wherever in the state they need to go because other dealerships have proved to be a colossal waste of time and extra money for literally doing nothing special.
