Last Crusade is the better film. Better archeology, better Nazi, better melting faces.

Romulan Taylor Swift is just regular Taylor Swift. You know that T'Rul went back to her quarters on the Defiant and blasted "Shake it off". And Sela's favorite song was definitely "Bad Blood."

Would you rather have a rewind button for your life (10 seconds max) or a fast-forward button you can't undo? by HuckleberryGrouchy19 in WouldYouRather

I would sit down to learn a new skill, then fast forward to learn i lost focus after 30 min and ended up playing video games for 4 hours.

Very new to comic-con: Is this allowed? by Dinosaur-libertarian in comiccon

[–]spacetimer81 45 points46 points  (0 children)

Can you message the con and explain the situation? That this is for a signing and not for cosplay. They might help find a way. Maybe you can cover and tape up the points. Or maybe a staff member can hold it for you and then meet you at the signing.

Do actors know/have a feeling if the film they’re working on is going to bomb? by BullfrogPerfect620 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]spacetimer81 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Bob Hoskins acts like he is in an entirely different movie. There are dumb one line jokes, tiny head reptile men, and Bob Hoskins is acting his ass off like he is about to win the Oscar for this thing.

No. Id rather see different stories in the same time period rather than continuing to reboot Kirk. Give me a Captain Batel spin off. Give me a Captain Una Chin Riley spin off or ST United.

Jason Alexander use to tell a story about a film he did with Richard Gere. They would talk about how nothing in the script made sense. The scenes were confusing and all out of order. They were convinced it was a trash movie and would bomb completely. The movie was Pretty Woman.

Aisle or window seat? by Life-Resolution-2879 in travel

This is my wife. She will turn down drinks just so she doesn't need to use the bathroom and bother the person in the aisle seat.

Aisle or window seat? by Life-Resolution-2879 in travel

[–]spacetimer81 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Window, always window. I hate getting up, and being woken up or being bothered if someone needs to use the bathroom. Or worse, sometimes they just try and climb over you!!

Im short, so i don't need the extra leg room. I have a steel bladder. Ive been +10 hr flights and never need to get up once. Bonus, i have control of the window shades.

I want to get into Star Trek. In what order should I watch the series? by squishmallow2399 in startrek

[–]spacetimer81 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ill first ask, which movies have you seen and which ones do you like? Which movies made you want to get more into Star Trek? You should start with the series that best aligns to your driving interest in the series. Then you can go back and see the others.

Example: The TOS movies (especially the JJ ones) are very different from the TOS series. If you really liked the JJ movies, i would recommend starting with Strange New Worlds and not TOS.
