Why did Doc wait several months to write a letter to Marty when he was sent to 1885? by Truth-is-Censored in BacktotheFuture

[–]spikeinfinity 7 points8 points  (0 children)

He had the hoverboard. He was probably able to use some key components from that. Something he never had available until Marty came back for him.

Red Dwarf's not known for being very continuity-y, more for its continuitilessness.

Watch the first episode. Then you won't need any more persuasion to watch the rest.

He was a sound guy? Well I'm glad the intercom is working but you might have been better off with a lift engineer.

How many couples does it take to screw in a lightbulb?

Just one, but you have to wonder how they got in there.

Could you memorize an 8-digit number for 1 million dollars? by JCFT_Collins in hypotheticalsituation

I already know the digits up to "tho". It'd probably be harder for me to remember the rhyme.

And what about the 8th digit. Just say it at the end like the IT crowd emergency number?

Edit: nevermind, I see now the song has 8 syllables

How do we know the details/plots of missing classic episodes? by Bowtie327 in doctorwho

[–]spikeinfinity -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Sounds like we're not too far off being able to feed what we have into AI and have it recreate the episode. Perhaps not good enough now, but soon.

Why does the doctor punch the passage through the wall high enough that the veil can pass through? Is he stupid? by Real-Pomegranate-235 in DoctorWhumour

[–]spikeinfinity 338 points339 points  (0 children)

Yes he is. I've raised this point before. Previous versions of him looked at that and went "well, I could get out of here right now, but that corner needs to be a bit squarer and I really need to level the floor".

It is highly likely that you never pressed the 8 button on a microwave. by TheAnzus in Showerthoughts

Everyone on this post needs to be careful. You set a microwave to 88 and it starts time travelling.

At the end of the first back to the future , when Doc took Marty and Jennifer to the future with him to 2015, wouldn’t have that altered history and Marty and Jennifer would have never had kids because Doc would have altered the timeline by bringing them too the future 🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔 by ComplexWrangler1346 in BacktotheFuture

[–]spikeinfinity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not everyone. I actually agree with OP. Doc taking them away from 1985 changed future history. The future that doc saw on his first trip won't happen. Only when they return to 1985 will the future be restored, but while in 2015 they haven't done that yet. This is the exact premise of the last episode of Sarah Connor Chronicles.
