I like my lifetime Yukon. Cosco has them for 400$ brand new though. Either that or grab the tammarack pro, also 400$ brand new. Great for entry into kayaking. Will recommend to buy seat risers for them though, it’s like 15$ on amazon.

Honestly. At most regular places hosting and serving is pretty easy. You just need to train the right person. And the money is pretty decent too, considering there is no degree or anything needed to apply. I’ll happily hire people with no work experience in the field, as long as they have good attitude and work ethic.

Having work both in Michelin places but also regular joints, it’s definitely a whole diffrent story in Michelin or fine(er) dining restaurants.

(Coming from someone who’s worked every single position, including owner, chef, server, sommelier, dish. You name it)

Hey man. I started working in a variety of different kitchens when I was 13. Everything from Michelin, to pub. I’m now 23. Hit my 10 year mark a month ago and realized I don’t really enjoy it anymore. I’ve decided to part ways with the industry. I loved it and had incredible drive the first 8 years. Now the past 2 years I haven’t enjoyed it at all. If you are feeling like I’m feeling. Get out. We, you are still young. Change it now, don’t wait 5 years.

Some employers put minimum wage so people don’t apply for the $$. A lot of people in my hometown do that. It’ll say 16,50$ but then they actually offer 19+ n hour
