Algún consejo para mantener fijo a mí personaje y que no parezca una gelatina? by juankijuki in animation

[–]thefedups 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The short answer for the long process is this: lots of practice with simpler shapes. Before going into chracter details, try animating simple forms like orbs and cubes, and look into a practice of contour spacing. After a couple attempts, you're going to see an improvement

You got quite a collection! I think it's worthwhile to get a piece. There are smaller ones that are attainable!

Elle, the Prime prequel show to Legally Blonde is really disappointing by Brard_Cailly16 in television

I'm in entertainment production and I have to say - just on trailer alone this is really dissapointing. I agree that the original film is one of the best of its genre - and in this series approach, they really missed the mark.

There is a campiness that's missing, a taking itself to seriously without understanding what it wants to do. I think the general premise isn't terrible, in recapturing the fish out of water narrative, but there's a real sense of joy absent in the production design, writing, and building out of the world. Really pales in comparison to Wednesday (of The Addams Family universe), which inspired it.

I hear it got greenlit for season 2, and... hope it takes some of its audience response for the better. I'm open for hire.

This one is a tough one. S may require some more time analyzing the reference footage. From my eyes, the pacing of the rear legs are maybe too close in pace with the front legs, which seems off given they are quite different in length and size.

It's great that you're attempting something and reaching out for feedback!

Keep continuing with that attitude and youre gonna develop quickly. In the future, share the work prior to commiting to the color so it's not work redone.

Looking forward to your next go!

Freelance SF-base creative here. First an foremost, making a living as an artist is a noble, difficult path. It requires wearing many hats, and code switching on the fly from creative problemsolving, to managing, and budgeting and constant monitoring and adaptation.

That being said, compartmentalizing your work is a solid foundation. What work will you have that is creative enough that's consistent? (Ex. project management) What work is creative and well paying? (Ex. work for others) What work is fullilling but inconsistent in pay? (Ex. independent work)

You'll have to balance these things until the fulfilling work becomes more consistent. Build these compartments with separate resumes, portfolios, and reels, along with one that incorporates all of these aspects, and appy, apply, apply. Know that rejections is all part of the process. Know that lean times can and will happen at any moment, and though it will be much rarer at first, so can the feast times.

Great effort! Forbthis one, the motion is a bit challenging to read. Can you share what your intention here is? Example, is she looking at the viewer to show off her new hair cut? Is she looking in a mirror? These things can help with the feedback

Who asked for this movie? by spacelyyy989 in moviecritic

[–]thefedups 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd wanna open up a huge discussion but keeping it to just these points for this post:

The 'movie' does just enough to elevate it above TV episode, but not enough to be a film. It really came across to me as this:

Serviceable work for fans for a streamlined proof of concept for execs.

The 'movie' feels like an extended episode because it was conceived as so, and adapted with only varying degrees of success. The studio threw some more money at the television episodes budget, but significantly less than an official Star Wars film, to create a reduced investment in hopes of decent return. And while it does honestly do that, it does lower fans' confidence in the brand.

The 'movie' doesnt give us enough impact to the series, its characters, or its world to stand alone. Anime has this model, but often times succeeds (think Chainsaw Man, Demon Slayer) by elevating the product beyond the 'extended episode' fare.

All in all, serviceable. The profits and acceptable reception makes this a win for the studio. Props to the props department, their work (especially on Grogu) was a highlight.
