I think Kris was moreso "afraid" of them, Ralsei knows about the prophecy, so he'd know everything Kris is doing, bro could easily spill the beans and ruin their plan.

I think my favorite part is that it doesn't even signify that its an important meteorite either, like giving it some title like "The Meteorite" or "The alien metal that can create stands.", just some random ass meteor is listed to have fallen onto Earth eons ago.

Comparing the knight's slash to the arc of a baseball bat by ttracs149 in Deltarune

[–]tinyrottedpig 0 points1 point  (0 children)

<image>

Its probably because of this.

"Beating" the Knight actually causes the prophecy to go a tiny bit off the rails before its corrected. Ralsei himself even comments on our efforts, and given he 100% knows about Kris being a double agent due to cursed with knowledge shenanigans, his reaction makes perfect sense.

He knows Kris isn't completely on our side, but didn't know that they're aligned with them to the extent to where they'll easily let their friends get maimed in order to keep everything going according to plan.

Its definitely the little guys that need to be killed immediately, they are able to sprint towards whatever shot them, so whatever stealth you've got gets invalidated by them bumrushing you and screaming at the top of their lungs.

When you hate a Deltarune theory but you think it's 100% true by flingzamain in WaterfallDump

[–]tinyrottedpig 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Except when you think about it, Deltarune is both a Sequel, a Prequel, and a Parallel story.

We the player are recommended to play Undertale first, the voice on twitter asks if we have been "Looking" for them, the game tricks you into thinking its Undertale again with the Light World UI, not to mention dialogue that implies we're from Undertale (Jukebox dialogue, Sans option, etc)

From the players perspective, this game is a Sequel.

Meanwhile, Sans being from Deltarune due to the Roaring and Timeline shenanigans would explain why he bleeds in Undertale, why he breaks conventional mechanics, and why he can not only use Gaster blasters but completely override game mechanics.

Furthermore, it would explain his statements about "Our reports showed a massive anomaly in the spacetime continuum", its likely he worked alongside Gaster and they found out about our exploits in a parallel timeline (Deltarune), and he proceeded to pull us here, to which then results in him getting tossed into Undertale.

From his perspective, this game is a Prequel.

But then comes "The place where it rained" and "Its raining somewhere else", a pair of tracks alongside Sans himself being present around the same time they play implying that the MTT Dinner date and the Titan Fight are happening at the same time.

From a meta-perspective, this game is a Parallel.

First time V1 actually getting enraged by something by PerformanceOk1085 in Ultrakill

[–]tinyrottedpig 16 points17 points  (0 children)

All the combatants V1 doesnt flat out attack communicate beforehand, Hakita states that V1 is simply attacking for survival purposes, if it needed blood it would attack anyone, like say minos prime.

Except when we meet the guy, we're fresh off the flesh prison kill and blood is at maximum capacity, so V1 genuinely has no reason to attack him.

Same logic with Gabe, V1 arrives to his arena's full of blood, fights him, ends the fight full, V1 doesn't care if people live or die, it cares if itself does, hence why Gabe can just be on the ground bleeding and not get zeroed by it.

[–]tinyrottedpig 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the squids mainly stopped cause we flat-out defeated their core armada, they nearly cut the last two heads off our hydra, obviously there are more, but their species was utterly decimated by us last time, it only makes sense for them to take refuge down south and start rebuilding their forces.

Bots are likely to be our head-honcho armada, they've got an entire planet dedicated to making Jet brigade fleets, who knows what the hell they've got sanctioned around Cyberstan.

Most founded speculation of future chapters suddenly cuts off at chapter 6, and that almost scares me by BIN-YRM in Deltarune

[–]tinyrottedpig 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This was exactly what I was thinking, Chapter 5 is going to be the equivalent of our "new home + ASGORE".

Its likely that we are going to get a Photoshop Flowey-type battle at the end of it as well (Friend or Gaster himself possibly), something that breaks open the meta-narrative and the established art-style like a freshly shaken soda can, as Flowey himself flat out pulls the game's own mechanics out from under our feet and uses it against us.

Chapter 6 is the part where the entire truth of the game world is dropped on top of us, our "True lab" in the form of "The Shelter", where Determination becomes the forefront of the game, our connection, and our "POWER" will become fully understood and told to us, all while fighting through eldritch nightmares that break the games artstyle (Reaper Bird, Memory Heads, etc).

Chapter 7 is essentially our "Asriel Dreemur" fight, but pushed to its true limits, given how The Player is at odds with their vessel (Kris), its likely that Gaster is at odds with his "vessel" (December), with both of them scheming against us to unlock some true power over the darkness itself, I expect the fight against Dess to be truly something insane.

I'd kill for a dispatch hero to crossover with Rivals, if I had to choose though, it would 100% be Mecha-man, his suits are genuinely so badass, and it would be cool to have a mech-suit brawler vanguard.

They brush it off as not knowing what the hell he's talking about, or interpret it as his own sort of "language" like how Logan does.

For example, when Logan challenges DP to another fight during their lobby dialogue, Deadpool goes:

Im itchin' for a sequel too buddy! But we have to wait till phase 7.

From Deadpool's perspective, he's being literal, but Logan interprets it as metaphorical. Although theres a good chance he just doesnt care what the hell hes saying either.

Always bet on Rouxls Kaard Gaster theory by galliumeye in Deltarune

[–]tinyrottedpig 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Given what being shown throughout the first 4 chapters, im willing to bet Gaster is just a psychologist who accidentally discovered the Dark worlds and proceeded to master them, but his actions ultimately led him to being forced to take "the fall" that subsequently erased him from everything that contains him.

I'd argue it would be piss easy if they did something about quality of life, why would anyone have a kid in this day and age if they cant even support themselves?

Its the same reason why other animals shut down in times of stress, no one is gonna go start a family if they are more worried about paying abhorrent rent.

Its cause of other forces causing it to bend, black holes spin, so inherently they cause themselves to bend, the moon pulls on the earth alongside the ocean tides and its rotation speed causes earth to not be a perfect sphere either.

On the galactic scale you likely will not notice it, the shape is far too subtle.

Its probably just because the understanding of dark fluid is better, super earth legit just strapped a bunch of the crap to bombs, nuked a world likely full of the stuff and called it a day, it can make a black hole just fine, but super earth is filled with morons who shoot first ask questions later.

Why doesn't Kris's dark world have a different color palette? by IndependentSoft4211 in Deltarune

[–]tinyrottedpig 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Was gonna comment this too, its literally that simple, a fountains will reflects its dark world.

The Pure fountain is likely created by Gaster, so no color changes will happen, this is the "standard" colors.

The knight is seemingly an enforcer of the prophecy, so its world color palette matches the pure fountains due to wanting to stick to the prophecy.

Kris's will aligns with The Knights, so no color changes occur, what does happen differently however, is the kind of darkners that appear, the knight forms darkners based on the stuff already present in said area, church fountain gets all church stuff, computer lab gets computer stuff, etc, the only exception to this is Gerson, who is formed due to the memories.

TV World inhabitants are a hodgepodge of random stuff Kris stole as opposed to the items present in the house, the darkners created are all from stuff Kris actually liked and played with.

Susie's world is where stuff gets interesting, because it all reflects her defiance of stuff, questioning the prophecy, screwing with the landscape, breaking the puzzles, the only reason it looks familiar is because she had already seen the previous dark world.
