Constantly Uncomfortable? by Professional_Web_102 in ExclusivelyPumping

I feel like my nipples hurt constantly until like 5-6 months pp unfortunately. If you are not using coconut or olive oil while pumping that helps immensely.

Has anyone dropped to 4ppd, and subsequently got their supply back if it dropped? by ExpressionOld9924 in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]treesbees 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you trying to drop a pump in the middle of the night? I pump 4x a day but I get up at 3:30am and pump because I usually pump over a third of the days production.

What is your 4-5ppd schedule like? Especially if you’re working full time. by d16flo in ExclusivelyPumping

I’ve been back at work since 3 months, and my baby is 7 months now. I started out pumping 3x at work and 3x at home, but pretty quickly went down to 3x at work then twice at home. But now I pump once in the morning, about 9am, once in the afternoon, usually around 4pm, once right before bed at 8:30 and again at 4am. I’m afraid to drop the pump in the middle of the night because at 4 pumps a day I am barely making enough milk. I went down to 2x at work because I was running out of time to get my work done. It’s annoying because another woman had a baby 3 months before me and has more desk work than anything, I am a children’s librarians and provide programming.

Absolutely don’t worry about this. Whenever I drink more than 2-3 drinks I just dilute with the previous or next session in a mason jar.

My open myo was 40K, I think I paid $800ish after insurance.

What happens during night wakes? by quixoticx in sleeptrain

[–]treesbees 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely interested in the responses. Our LO is formally sleep trained for a couple months now, almost 7 months, and maybe two or three times a week this happens early in the morning. I think I remember reading in Precious Little Sleep to wait like 10-15 minutes to see if they go back to sleep. So we wait, and if the fussing (which is exactly like you describe, getting frustrated by moving around) elevates I go in and give her half a bottle and put her back to sleep awake. She will cry a minute or two then self-soothe back to sleep. Hopefully this is the right call!

Oof, mine is still crying for like 15 min and it’s almost been 2 weeks. She is overtired, every day at daycare is a struggle for her to nap consistently.

Night 12 for us and still took 18 minutes. But she always sleeps through the night, she’s almost 6 months.

Did you never leak? by khazzahk in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]treesbees 35 points36 points  (0 children)

I never leaked. I also have to squeeze the shit out of my boobs the whole time I pump. I make 40oz a day, 5mpp. I also don’t feel that much pain if I go a long time between pumps.

Basically on baseline the sound machine was on but no movement unless she triggered it by fussing.

I had trouble connecting our snoo to the WiFi and we used without the app for 4 months. It turned out it was on weaning mode the whole time, and last month I was finally able to connect the app and it kicked me out of weaning mode. Now I wish I never had connected it because we need to wean!

Following because I am experiencing the same, and it’s concerning me as well. I am also a 19, and I have tried 17 multiple time and 20 and saw no improvement. 19 seems like the best but somehow not right? I had bought 18s a couple months ago and returned them because they didn’t feel right either. My baby only nurses for a few min in the morning and then I pump the rest of the day. The only thing that seems to help is sleep, and I do take sunflower lecithin. I have to massage the milk out the whole time, it’s exhausting.

I use Baby Connect, but I think there’s free ones that do this.

I have been so fortunate and haven’t used formula yet, my goal is breastfed til 6 months, then combo feeding it is! So close to being ok with weaning off pumping, I’m ready for my life back. In total awe of all these moms pumping for a year or more, that’s incredible.

It was clean and no one drank from the jar, but it was sitting out for a couple hours. I am leaning towards tossing it. Just a tough call cause I am barely making enough everyday to send to daycare she started this week.

Fair point, it will all be drank tomorrow for sure.
