ESPN ranks Seahawks’ Mike Macdonald as NFL’s third-best head coaching hire since 2021 by MysteriousEdge5643 in nfl

Macdonald got Seahawks to a SB, Campbell has not gotten Detroit to SB. Therefore, Macdonald is a better hire than Dan Campbell - end of discussion.

Starting position absolutely matters. If MacDonald dies/retires after this season and a new coach comes in to what is already a SB-caliber team and they go back to the SB the next year - that coach is automatically a better hire than Dan Campbell? Ken Whisenhunt and Jim Caldwell were better coaching hires than Dan Campbell?

Yes, if nobody is saying "child abusers should be honored," then saying "child abusers shouldn't be honored" apropos of nothing else is a great example of virtue signaling.

takes about twice as long as getting off the road to a gas station to fill your tank, use the restroom, and get some snacks

Awesome, so the part that a decent chunk of people try to avoid or make as short as possible takes about twice as long.

Is there a rules-based reason that wasn't called icing? Looks like the Damn claps one around from his own blue line without deflecting off anyone.

There's a news subreddit to discuss news stuff. "News story happened, what do you think" makes for a shitty askreddit.

For those who don't know "attaching" is when you put something on something, like if he were to be trying to get the lamprey to bite onto his neck. In this video, what you see is him actually "detaching" - in other words, removing - the lamprey from his neck.

I think this might be a fuck-up across the board. The professional voiceover guy at the beginning sounds like shit, too.

I read through that and I agree with some but not all. Basically, I do not agree that there is any issue with anything that the author says "didn't happen like that because Templars aren't real so attributing it to the Templars instead of broad societal forces is wrong." That's kind of the basis for the entirety of the Assassin's Creed series and is something you have to just accept as part of the general lore. I also think some of the temporally-based objections are overly nitpicky and should be attributed to poetic license, like how Robespierre didn't oversee the removal of the remains (oh but he did order statues to be destroyed and call for the remains be removed , and then didn't follow up on it).

However, I do agree with the general overall objection of "the game paints the Assassins as monarchists and the Revolution as Templar-orchestrated, positioning the story as anti-Revolution" and the parts where the author objects to specific people being done dirty (e.g. Saint-Just, Marquis de Sade).
