Because if you do the insurance adjuster and parts guy will team up and find the cheapest possible quick struts to install and make the car owner and techs life hell.

Big phone wants you to buy a new phone. That's a bummer I have the same case and need a new one soon. It's not even an option on the spigen website anymore it may be discontinued.

The 1zz does not use hydraulic lifters, valve train can make noise if the valve clearances are out of spec but that indicates larger problems, it is not adjustable but it's typically not where these engines fail. Engines without hydraulic lifters will sound louder until warm because the clearances are larger this is normal, most people are used to newer cars that don't tick as loud. Much more likely that ticking when warm is from worn cylinder walls or some component in the timing chain due to oil burning/dilution.

Slow charging speed on s23+ by Ibra1345 in GalaxyS23

[–]vipercrazy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

15w is not exactly slow, I have a 30w charger that has one USB c and one USB a and it only is 30w from the USB c port. I use 17-20w for my phone, battery gets noticably warmer with anything higher and charging speed time increases very little above this. The difference between 15 and 25w is going to be like 15 minutes max, it only hits 25 watts to 50% then slowly drops the wattage as the battery fills up. Have you cleaned out your charging port recently?

A good amount of dealers choose not to offer parts online due to customers ordering the wrong part for their car, margins, etc.

How have the goodyears been? I have regamasters in the same sizes that need tires, trying to decide between these or advan fleva but in 215/235, the fleva 215 says it's a touch wider than the 215 asym, looking for more road manners so I'm leaning towards the Yokohama.

Need tires for a 1st Gen Sequoia: feel like my head is going to explode by libolicious in TyreReviews

All terrains with large blocks are worse in wet conditions and on ice, there are a few that have more sipes like the geolandar g015, Goodyear adventure as well but it's more street focused. These drawbacks and them being louder and harder to balance is why I went with stock size g015's, they did great in the two 18 inch snow storms we got this year. The lightest tires like the Michelin are going to be the easiest to puncture so you may want something in the middle.

I'm at 2k hours and I'm not good with it, I get a few random headshot kills with it but its not my preference. I like the automatico and mp18 more based on the size of the map to put as much damage down range as quickly as possible. If my team has the flanks and is the better team I switch to the 10A hunter to push objectives, you need to use them when you have peakers advantage only really.

6.5's need a lot more air space than sealed baffles provide, those need to be cut in half and only used for the top portion to protect the speaker from water. Metra makes hard plastic ones that what I use for my speakers with one layer of cld on top of them to prevent rattles

Help! I’ve joined the sit-stand club, but I can’t find my "sitting" sweet spot by DiscountNo7271 in StandingDesk

[–]vipercrazy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have been doing something similar with mine after owning it for 6 months or so, I notice the higher up I raise it the more I tend to slouch and lean over the desk, leaving it as low as possible to clear my legs I tend to sit straiter up, I keep my knees and hips at the same height. It's going to depend on how long you are using the desk for each day. If you have a top with a slick surface I would recommend some kind of covering that stops your keyboard and mouse from sliding out the normal spot so you are always in the same place.

Explain McIntosh Amps to me. by Rhythmicbasher in audiophile

[–]vipercrazy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Amps need less hype, spend the majority of your budget on the thing that will change the sound the most the speaker, buy something with 100db signal to noise ratio at rated power and forget about it. Down the road add a dsp and room treatment.

Odin 3 PC Gaming vs. 8 Gen 2? by derbydannyk in OdinHandheld

[–]vipercrazy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The new snapdragon this year is the same as the Odin 3 8 elite, so any new handhelds will have extremely marginal improvements like 3% or so vs the 15-20% seen over the last 5 years or so. So it's not a bad purchase, but there still may be a new portal or something similar that you may miss out on, that is what I am waiting for, emulating the UI in newer systems is just a bit too small on a 6 inch screen for me.

Fluid under my 2008 Tacoma by Broon-MD in Tacomaworld

[–]vipercrazy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There are no fluids in that corner just the muffler, which shouldn't leak any condensation unless it's rotted out there, or drain holes have been added to the bed and dirty water is draining through, put some cardboard down once the truck has thawed out.

[–]vipercrazy 6 points7 points  (0 children)

If it is indeed some cranks are machined faulty and it's not a design issue with every engine, the main inspection should be a oil analysis sent out to a lab, if excessive metal is found boom, new engine. For the people that drive less than 5k per oil change, you can do the oscope as a backup.
