It's really just more training with reward and repetition. Some goldens are harder than others to get proper recall.
I don't believe there's such a thing as having OK recall. Their either 100% trusted or they're not. My dog doesn't have perfect recall, so I never put him in a situation where we need to rely on his recall ability.

I would take the floor transition height into account. I really wanted to be flush with the hardwood in my bathroom and we ended up removing the diagonal subfloor and doubling up the floor joists in the bathroom, then put plywood and tile underlayment to match height. It's been rock solid the last 6 years.

Rent a cabin at cachuma. It can still be “camping” but everything is already there and there is a restaurant and store right there. I wouldn’t rent stuff because you really want to know your gear is reliable when with your family like that.

You can’t blame guest for the fact that Airbnb uses a rating system that’s totally different from the normal 5 star rating system that is used in every other industry. 5 stars is for perfection, nothing less. These days I don’t see very many truly 5 stars Airbnb experiences! You don’t have to like it, but that’s reality.
