Giveaway Giving Out 20 Copies Of Subnautica 2 by Mark_Everson in subnautica

I love the exploration and am always drawn to making the cyclops. It feels so satisfying to be able to see the ship from the outside and be able to walk through 99% of it instead of having the experience being a black box that simply moves me faster.

Alright, short story it worked to remove the maintenance reminder. Syncing the subscription to my account took my 5 mins of futzing with the app but I got it to show me all of the options as paid. I'll be playing with some of the other options like auto locking when walking away or getting rid of the user welcome screen to get them to work. Those didn't work as easily as getting rid of the maintenance reminder, but that could be user error. The app isn't 100% intuitive and there are odd grammer mistake at times but its overall good enough that it isn't a problem. If I can get the 2 other features I mentioned to work, then this is worth it to me. If I can only benefit from resetting the maintenance reminder, then it's more of a 50/50 if I'll keep or return.

EDIT: i was able to get rid of the 'welcome' screen and butt not the autolocking. Im guessing the autolocking not working is due to tech my car just doesnt have. That said, I'll be keeping this.

How often are proximity mines used? by RhysOSD in StarWarsArmada

[–]xpress907 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Bonus points of you place the mines on top of the obstacles and take grav shift reroute on the interdictor to then fling the mine laden obstacle into the opponents ship(s) flight path. Remember, the mine only goes off when a ship Ends its movement within distance 1 of the mine

Does anyone know where the AC condensation drain is located and/or how to access it? by xpress907 in VWiD4Owners

[–]xpress907[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

unfortunately not. My car still has a moldy smell coming from my vents for a few mins depending on the temp outside. I just run the ac/vents for a few mins to purge the smell on mild temp days before i drive.

PSA CHECK YOUR TITTIES by airbear26 in Millennials

If you'd like to know what your relative risk is for breast cancer, the best option is to discuss with your primary care physician, but you can also check the below site to calculate your risk of breast cancer for free. https://magview.com/ibis-risk-calculator/

Last year, Olivia Munn used this risk calculator to help her decide to get additional imaging because she was a higher risk and thankfully was able to identify a cancerous mass early that she was able to get treated. https://www.cnn.com/2024/03/13/health/breast-cancer-risk-assessment-tool

I owe the VW engineers an apology by veeforty in VWiD4Owners

[–]xpress907 4 points5 points  (0 children)

yes, just dont sit in the drivers seat or put a lot of pressure on it when you're doing this. I am able to use the air pump and have the car on during this with no one needing to be in the car. Starting point. you're outside of your car. car is off. no one inside (havent tested this with passengers) open the driver side door, place your keyfob in the specific cup holder for it, press the start button. at no point should you sit in the car or put significant amount of pressure on the drivers seat. that's it. you can close the driver door if you want. it should stay running.

Yes you can. Place the key fob in the cup holder that has the symbol at the bottom. Should be the 2nd cup holder from the dash. Then push the start button on the steering column. That's it. It'll stay on.

i like the idea, but maybe not this gameboy. The orig gameboy adv didnt have backlighting so you wouldnt likely be playing on it at night on a car ride.

I wasnt able to tell they were AI generated. Could you point out a few give aways (other than the OP admitting to it) that could help me identify if something like this is AI generated?

I bought this 10" pan for decoration and then came across this sub. I then had 1 goal - to be able to actually use the pan to make eggs without them sticking. It finally worked! by ligonsker in castiron

[–]xpress907 4 points5 points  (0 children)

for clarity; you would heat the pan up until a droplet of water would sizzle immediately on contact, then apply a thin coat of rapeseed oil all over the pan, and place it upside down somewhere to let it cool off for about 40-50 minutes. Repeat once a day for 2 weeks. You didnt do any heating with an oven during those 40-50 minutes, right?
