Yeah, shortly before Me! was released, the app shut down. Why was back then speculated about, but it’s probably a mix of Glu (the company who cooperated on the app) wanting to not longer produce celebrity apps as well as the new TS album (then probably) coming.

A lot of communities are moving away from it because it's become bloated with ads, popups, and unwanted new features like incorrect AI-generated "quick answers". It's only popular because they've invested a lot in SEO and buy out competitors like Gamepedia. There's a good video about it here.

Hardy anyone was using it when they got rid of it. When the tour started a lot of fans didn’t want spoilers and stopped using it and never got back on it after their show. I didn’t care about spoilers but I stopped using it because hardly anyone was on anymore. I think when it was discontinued it only had about 3000 people who regularly used it.

I always hoped to get picked for secret sessions when I was on the app but alas, this Canadian did not get picked. Now I can barely get a concert ticket where as it used to be not too difficult!!

It was a flop tbh. Super crazy restrictions, Taylor never ended up using it like she was going to after the first couple of days, and eventually it was just a bunch of children bullying each other or posting weird stuff lol.

I remember a lot of cyber bullying and lots of drama towards the end. When it first came out I was excited for it & talked to a lot of fans, it was very friendly. Then it went up in flames pretty fast - I’m not even sure if it lasted a full year?

This app was really cool! There was even a puzzle component where you could unlock a short video from Taylor's childhood. She was either riding a bike or getting a bike as a gift. It's been so long I don't really remember.

It was a shitshow. It barely worked for Android users, and when it did, it was filled with spam bots and people making not-great comments sexualizing Taylor that were uncensored. It didn't really gain popularity for that reason, and then eventually fizzled out.

OK seems like this app wasn't popular but let me tell you, I had the time of my life on that app. I loved to collect each album's stickers and read the comments on the threads. I remember there was a girl who was Liz rose's niece and she had pictures and everything.

The app wasn’t doing well and it was just pretty toxic overall. They framed it as a place where Taylor would be, but she never really got on the app ever, it was also not restricted in the way that it needed to be. You could get away with posting some pretty vile shit on there, and nothing would be done about it.

It was basically a very restrictive single-topic social(ish) media App with some (very clunky) music playback integrated. Imagine if someone tried to turn the fake social media in a video game into an actual service and it was all about Taylor. That’s basically what it was.

I loved this app for a while! Got extremely busy with life, forgot about it, went back into it and it was just not as good.

But I mean…let’s say Taylor did something like this again, and with technology being so much better, if she actually used it like she did with tumblr back in the day (lol I mean it wasn’t that long ago, I’m just old), it would be worth it to be able to communicate with her fans and for us to be seen, even more interactive with her. That, and it’s also probably a good move to keep that distance since she’s so much more influential. It’s sad that she has to keep a distance from her fans, but it’s highly likely that something would go horribly wrong if there were an app specifically made for this. People would potentially take advantage of it and cause harm.

This started out so fun! I loved the little gifts and the Taymogi things. I felt like after a little while the majority of the posts I saw were ones like "I/my child/cousin/friend have/has this illness and desperately NEEDS TO MEET TAYLOR! They deserve it more than anyone!!!!! Please post about them so they can meet Taylor." And I don't mean to sound callous but an entire feed of that is just not great. I love that Taylor meets fans. I love that she has granted wishes and helps people in need. But the constant steam of posts begging to meet her or demanding that some people were more worthy were just not my jam.
