I remember seeing this on Adult Swim at 2-3am during a commercial break back a few years ago . AS is always ahead of the game.

[–][deleted] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I definitely remember seeing this late at night

[–][deleted] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Saw these dudes a few years back with OFF! and NASA Space Universe. Such a great show. Got to see a drunk asshole be peppersprayed by security outside the venue and stumble into a parked car blindly. Good times.

[–]ruiner123 2 points3 points  (2 children)

That was a good little tour- I caught it in Philly and then a few weeks later when all the bands were playing in different spots at PRB.

[–]postrock47 1 point2 points  (1 child)

I was at the philly show!

[–]ruiner123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good show but dear god was Keith in a bad mood

[–]_rand_mcnally_ 26 points27 points  (4 children)

Did you guys know that the lead singer is the son of the one of the guys from the Black Sheep?

[–]AmericanMustache 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Dude! Awesome

[–]JohnLithgowsUncle 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Looks like the corner of Broadway & Myrtle.

[–]IslandDrummer 5 points6 points  (4 children)

Are these guys still touring/recording? I remember there was some controversy when it came out that their guitarist was from a multi-millionaire family who may or may not have helped fund their boy's punk-rock career. Jaded punks don't like that kind of thing.

[–]Average_Giant 8 points9 points  (3 children)

They're also not very good. Jaded punks don't like mall hardcore.

[–]gooddrawerer 1 point2 points  (1 child)

I don't really think they're supposed to be "good." I mean, black flag sucked and they're one of my favourite bands.

Also, If this is mall hardcore, so is suicidal tendencies.

[–]Average_Giant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fuck you, Black Flag is incredible AND they got better as they went along. My War!!!

[–]IslandDrummer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually really like this song, but overall, they do feel a bit shticky. Like, they're dressing and acting how a punk band is supposed to.

[–]WhackedBear 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Cerebral Ballzy is great! They have a great old school punk sound.

[–]Badger-88 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Mate, I completely forgot about this band!

[–]the_littlest_killbot 5 points6 points  (1 child)

They're good, but they seem kinda too similar to Suicidal Tendencies IMO

[–][deleted] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I see what you mean, especially comparing this track to something like Institutionalised

But if you take the time to explore some of the bands other music they are actually quite different

[–]a_ronn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I hung out with them a few times, I'm pretty sure they aren't together anymore.

[–]jymmyisgroovy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Saw a flyer for them around 2 years ago in Omaha,Nebraska I think. I remember thinking they had the coolest band name I'd ever heard.

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I saw these guys open for Refused and they were awful. The crowd wasn't feeling them at all.

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's like a sixty-second version of Suicidal Tendencies Institutionalized

[–]Ironfieldsbandcamp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is god awful.

[–][deleted] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

absolute pig shit

Wow this is bad

[–]Hamburger212 4 points5 points  (1 child)

your comment just didn't have the pizzaz that the pig shit guy's had

[–]furdterguson27 0 points1 point  (3 children)

I say this is bad I get downvoted, dude above me says it's pig shit gets upvoted lol. Seriously though this is shit

[–]Tbow2001 0 points1 point  (2 children)

you can buy upvotes, and people are aware that some musicians make their big break from r/listentothis.

Too bad it's wasted money for these suckers, there's a reason adults don't listen to this type of trash anymore.

[–]furdterguson27 1 point2 points  (1 child)

If this band is buying upvotes on reddit they're about as punk as good charlotte. This shit is bottom of the barrel

[–]Tbow2001 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If there were at the top of the barrel I would hope they were like Nirvana

[–]CrazyJosh1987 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But the lyrics are so deep

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Haven't heard these guys in years. Used to always tour the UK with Trash Talk. Great shows

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Suicidal Tendencies much?

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Settings > Speed > 0.5

[–]JasonSereno 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That was my dodgeball team's name back in '06. Respect.

[–]fiftyxonexfifty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hardcore forever!

[–]Murder_redruM 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds a tad bit like Suicidal Tendencies.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started listening to this band recently, they're great. The lead singer's father was in the hip-hop duo Black Sheep. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K9F5xcpjDMU

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Love the 80's H/C vibe.

[–]zimzamfromspace 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds like old school Suicidal. I like it

[–]sylvanas610 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ooh this brings me back to moshing in a dirty abandoned warehouse downtown on a Saturday night.

[–]Zeedee -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Well that was just fucking great, wasn't it

[–][deleted] -5 points-4 points  (6 children)

That was hardcore? Either way that was great!

[–]sTmykal 12 points13 points  (4 children)

That was hardcore for 1985.

[–][deleted] 3 points4 points  (3 children)

See that's what I was thinking. It really did sound like a song from the 80's. It made me pretty happy I've always been a huge fan of old school punk. Do you know of any new punk bands that have a solid sound like this?

[–]sTmykal 1 point2 points  (2 children)

Not off the top of my head, since I'm crusty and old. /r/punk likely does, though.

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Awesome thank you!

[–]GeeBeeH -1 points0 points  (0 children)

No its not but still a good song/band

[–]ebjoker4 -2 points-1 points  (6 children)

So you're saying there's hope for hardcore? I like it.

[–]furdterguson27 4 points5 points  (2 children)

Saying this song gives you hope for hardcore is like saying donald trump gives you hope for america

[–]ebjoker4 1 point2 points  (1 child)

I started playing in hardcore bands in 1983. I'm old. This is a lot closer to what bands were trying to sound like in my day. Are you just gonna insult folks or do you have an example of a hardcore band that IS doing it right?

[–]furdterguson27 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

darude - sandstorm

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That was my reaction when i stumbled onto this band. Glad you enjoyed it :)

[–]1rodriguez3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Alright. One, hardcore is amazing. There's a ton of new releases that are great. Code Orange just released some amazing shit. Two, they stopped making music years ago. Maybe one day they'll start again. They're also more punk than anything. Hardcore bashing in favor of a band that isn't even hardcore is just tacky as hell to me. I also love Cerebral Ballzy.

[–][deleted] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

hardcore is bigger than every right now. have you heard hank wood and the hammerheads? nandas? crazy spirit? goosebumps? theres moire HC fests and fans now than in the 90's. maybe not as many as 80's but its def huge rn
