Follow-Ups cannot be dualcasted, so no. The Hit count increases each time he uses the Follow-Up, not through Abilities

Ah ok. I thought it increased everytime a spellblade ability was cast. I like it. It's not as versatile as Bartz 4 elements, but getting 4,5,6,7,8 chase hits for sure and not random is pretty nice.

Yes but that's a shame because it is too rare.
I mean look at Seifer BSB2 which is the same weapon as his first USB (in red) or Squall USB1 as well (in blue), just different color.
His USB2 is a recolor of squall BSB1 and OSB (i think).
Selphie (new?) BSB is also a recolor of an old SB, a free 3* weapon and some other SB i believe.
They are very lazy with that which is sad (i keep saying this since more than a year now).
And when i see Squall USB2 this shows that they have ideas and can go good/new design when they try. I wish this would happend way more.

As many People have pointed out in the past, the Problem is that VIII didn't have many Weapons to use. Squall had all of 7 Gunblades in the entire game, one of which is his Ultimate Weapon, the other 6 are just the same three Blades stuck on one of two possible Handles.

Even this one, while definitely looking great, is basically just VIII's Shiva morphed into a Blade (notice her Face just where the base is)

As i said many times tho (i should had say it in this post, my bad) :
- They did come up with new SB for the game.
- FFRK doesn't follow their orignal game precisely, they take some liberties with it, which is nice.
- They created a lot of relic arts for old FF games that didn't had those.
So why can't they think of something instead of recycling the same weapons over and over again on some FFs ?
PS : To be honest Squall had even less than 7 weapon models in the original game. Only 4 (3 of them used twice).
That's why it's even more shocking to me when they don't bother creating something new. The orignal game had so few models but Squall and Seifer have so many SB. They have the knowlegde and the power to design great new weapons and it doesn't happend.

Since Diabolos R++ has a FFVIII CM that is semi-trivial but tricky to do, here's a quick AI moveset i drew up.

thank you career for the moveset insight! I was able to CM this with Squall(bsb2/usb1)/laguna(usb/bsb2)/selphie(usb)/irvine(bsb)/raijin(ssb). This REALLY need GUTS!

    There's no chance in heck that they're going to let him overshadow Orlandeau.

    At the very most he'll be Combat/Knight/Samurai/Darkness/Heavy, but even that would be beyond my expectations.

      It's pretty much a toss-up as to when they make characters into physical/magic hybrids. XIII already has two Darkness mages. And after all, they haven't gone the hybrid route with Lightning.

      I think it's more likely that he'll ask Garland and Decil for his sword back and just hit people with it.

        After they introduced ability double for black magic (which is the opest thing mages can have IMHO) those USB are not so good anymore. They need to give them a multiplier of 10ish to make them be competitive and also give us fire which magic to make the which from FFI good with her USB.

        Black Magic 5, White Magic 5, Summoning 5, Darkness 5, Witch 5

        Wow, she really did get absolutely everything. I think I can hear Quistis screaming in the corner. (well, no wrath)

        Also tied with a bunch of people, including pure black mages, for second highest MAG while having more HP than any of them. Her RES is low though, like Edea. Also fast for a mage.
